Pfc. Roger Pollock Gets Purple Heart Private first das- Huger L Pollock was awarded the.purple heart on February 20 by assistant commandant of the United States marine corps. General Lewis Walt, at the Great Lakes naval hospital. Pfc Pollock spent the past week end with hfs mother. Mrs. Edwin Peterson, at Syracuse. Relatives and friends who called at the Peterson home to visit Pfc. Pollock included the following: Mr. and Mrs. Steve Koeman and daughter Cinda. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Galik, Bill Jack Pollock. Miss Margie Conwell. Mr. and Mrs Jim Starbuek and family. Mr and Mrs Ted Heaton and family. Mr and Mrs. Dick Johnson and family. Mr. and Mrs Leroy, Davis and daughter Kristy, and Bill Peterson of Syracuse. North Webster Men Purchase Business Announcement was made Monday of this week of the purchase of the North Webster Concrete Products by' Robert (“Bob") Likens and N. R (“Nub”) NUes last month The name of the business is the North Webster Septic Tank and Dry W'ell and it was purchased from Rex Miller of North Webster. Both Likens and NUes are residents of r 1 North Webster and graduates of North Webster high school with the class of 1953.
