Combined Missionary Groups Meet A meeting of the missionary groups of the North Webster churches was held Tuesday night at 7:30 at the Methodist church and sponsored by the Miriam Circle. All ladies from the Methodist church, the Church of God. the Christian church and the Maris Chapel church were invited to attend the meeting which was planned as a study of how to work better together creatively. Following the introductory fellowship meeting, special groups were formed for concentrated study in certain areas. Mrs. Howard Locke is chairman of the sponsoring missionary circle. —NW— Mrs. Michael McKee Is Teaching At North Webster Mrs. Michael McKee, the former Laura Stickler of Pierceton, is doing her student teaching at North Webster in the third grade under Mrs. Howard Locke, starting Monday of this Mrs. McKee, now a resident of East Barbee lake completed two years at Ball State university before entering Indiana university in Fort Wayne. She will graduate in June. —NW—LOCAL PASTOR RETURNS FROM DENVER, COLO. Rev. uewis Thomas and his wife have just returned from North Denver, Colo., where they report having engaged in a successful evangelistic campaign. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas made the trip by auto and spent a night on their way out and again on the return trip at the home of their daughter and family, Sgt. and Mrs. Darwin Cataline and family. They also visited other relatives at Topeka. Kansas. Mrs. Cataline had previously visited her family here and will be remembered by family friends and accquaintances and friends by her given name, Wanda. Another daughter. Mrs. Russell Moore, assisted by Mrs. Russell Engle and Mrs. Carl Kissinger conducted the installation ceremony. During the business session, it was announced that Mrs. Glen Vanator and Mrs. Dale Cremeens will be in charge of the February card party to be held February 4, and Mrs. Jake Krause, Sechrist Lake will entertain the Past Chiefs at her home on February 11. A social period was held after the meeting with refreshments served by the Past Chiefs. —NW—THIRD GRADERS ATTEND CIRCUS Nath Webster third grade students, their teachers and room mothers attended the circus in Fort Wayne Friday. This is an annual project sponsored by area Shriners. The students from North Webster were identified by felt beanies made for them by room mothers in red and white, the school colors and bearing the school name. Approximately 85 students accompanied by their teachers. Mrs. Howard Locke, Miss Phyllis Haney, and Miss Bolt and student teachers, Mrs. Hoffert and Mrs. McKee and the following room mothers: Mrs. John Weeks, £lrs. Stanley Hamman. Mrs. Max Simpson. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Richardson at Larwill. She was a patient at Parkview hospital in Fort Wayne until Thursday. Mrs. Tillman Coy, r 3, Syracuse, accompanied her granddaughter. Mrs. Gary Shaw and her husband on a trip to Florida. Mr. Shaw is employed by Richardson Mobil Homes and was recently transferred to Florida. At present, they are guests of Mrs. Elsie Shaw, formerly of this area who moved to New Port Richey, Fla., several years ago. Mrs. Coy plans to return to her home the latter part of this month. Mrs. Uva Thomas is now residing at Millers Merry Manor, Warsaw. It is reported that Mrs. Lester White is recovering nicely at home following an extended stay at an Indianapolis hospital where she underwent surgery on January 9. Mrs. Duane (Minnie Belle) Leedy is a patient in the Whitley County hospital, Columbia City, where she is reported recovering from recent surgery. Rhoda Mock is a patient in the Goshen hospital. She was admitted for tests and observation. Mrs. James Plummer was called home from Germany by the death of her father. Ike Kline, of Syracuse. Bob Dellinger has been admitted to a hospital for observation and treatment.

Metta Sharp is in the Parkview hospital in Fort Wayne for a series of tests. Rev. John Weeks announced that the membership class for 6th, 7th and Bth grades is being held on Wednesday afternoons. It is planned to receive these students on May 17. He also reported that the new carpeting and kitchen flooring project has been completed. Mrs. Rex Miller returned to her home Friday and is recovering satisfactorily following surgery at the Parkview hospital in Fort Wayne recently. Mr. and Mrs. Orva Miller and Sally attended the circus Saturday. BELL RINGERS TO BE AT NEW SALEM The Cardinal Bell Ringers will present a program at the New Salem Church of the Brethren on Wednesday, Feb. 11.
