Christian Science LessonSermon For Sunday Is ‘Spirit’ “Would God that all the Lord’s people were prophets, and that the Lord would put his spirit upon them!” These words of Moses in Numbers are part of the lessonsermon titled "Spirit.” The lesson will be read this Sunday in Christian Science churches. A passage from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy in the lesson is: “Anciently those apostles who were Jesus’ students, as well as Paul who was not one of his students, healed the sick and reformed the sinner by their religion. Hence the mistake which allows words, rather than works, to follow such examples!” (p. 343). MOUNT TABOR BEGINS ‘UP WITH SUNDAY SCHOOL’ “Up With Sunday School.” win be the theme of the Mt. Tabor church Sunday school for the months of February and March. This will be an attendance drive in the various Sunday school classes of the Mt. Tabor church school. The “Up With Sunday School” started on February Ist and will carry through Easter Sunday. Each Sunday school class of the church is going up with its attendance in a big attempt to make it much higher than the average attendance of 1969. Each class from the nursery through the oldest adults will be trying to break the record for attendance in their class. Prizes and gifts will be given to each pupil who is present each of the Sundays in February and March. Also gifts will be given to the pupil who brings the most other pupils to their class during this nine week period. Charts are posted in the church so all can see what each class is doing in its attendance and a large chart for the total Sunday school. The Mt. Tabor church school begins each Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. and there are classes for each member of your family. Classes are from nursery through adults with them divided in two year groups. There are 12 classes in the church school. Mr. Max Martin of Nappanee is the superintendent of the church school with Paul Parks of r 2 as the assistant superintendent.
