Best Fishing Tale Concerns Earl Money The best fishing tale to come off the ice so far this winter happened to our local resident conservation officer on Lake Wawasee. Here is the way his story goes. Flags on two tip-ups popped up at the same time. After trying in vain to reel in number one. he goes to number two and finally lands a beautiful 10-pound pike, so he says. Laying the unhooked pike on the ice. he hurriedly returns to hole number one where he again struggles to bring his line up believing his fish is caught in some seaweed. Finally he brings up an empty hook. But, believing one fish is better than none, he returns to his landed pike only ta discover that it is gone. Realization dawns on him. Mr. Pike had been hooked twice and he had been pulling it back and forth under the ice! Hospital Notes TO UNDERGO EYE SURGERY Kathy Steffen.
