Members of the Milford Junior high student council sponsored a •‘Help” project for needy local people during the recent Christmas season A tojal of 151 cans of food were donated by the students .

Wawasee Teacher To Tour Europe As Group Advisor Matt R. O’Hare of Syracuse, a Wa.wasee Prep English teacher, will tour Europe next summer as a group advisor for the World Academy Schools for Foreign Study. Mr. O’Hare will supervise local students in the 40-day trip which will include Italy, Greece. Yugoslavia, Switzerland and France. COMMISSIONED—Navy ensign John R. Myers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald F. Myers of 701 S. Main St.. Ligonier was commissioned an ensign in the naval reserve on- completion of the aviation officer, course at the naval aviation schools command in Pensacola, Fla. The 11-week course included instruction in naval history and world affairs, naval justice, leadership and orientation, effective communications, physical fitness and swimming. He will now enter the flight preparation school to continue his ; training under the naval aviation program, Roger Pollock Completes Training VIET NAM -Marine private first class Roger L. Pollock of r 1 Syracuse, has completed two weeks training at the combined action program school in Danang. Viet Nam. During his training he received instruction in the Vietnamese language, custom and He also received specialized training in small unit tactics for use against enemy forces This school prepares marines and navy hospital corpsmen for duty with combined action program units. These units are desighed to maintain security for small hamlets and villages. The men work with the local villagers and perform various civic action programs. Home ec and English are her favorite subjects. « This year she is a member of the GAA. In past years she has belonged to GAA, Spanish club, cheerblock, band and chorus. After graduating Cindy plans to attend college and later start a business of her own. She has two older brothers. William who is in school at Fort Wayne, Mike who is married and a policeman in Muncie; and a younger sister. Beth, who is a freshman at Wawasee. Vest, live on r 1 Syracuse, was assigned November 11 to the 18th engineer brigade in Viet Nam. One Third Make Prep Honor Holl Practically one third of the students at Wawasee Preparatory at Syracuse made the honor roll for the first semester grading period.
