Rusty, Dirty Coolant Warns SystemNeedsYour Attention

The next time you’re adding water to your car’s radiator, take a close look at the color of the coolant already in the system. If it’s rusty or dirty, better have your service attendant check your car’s cooling system. Good Local Body Shop Will Have What It Takes to Do Job Have you recently taken a really good look at the finish on your car? Studies by leading automotive service magazines found three out of every four cars are in need of body repair and/or touch-up work. When checking your car, chances are you’ll find finish defects ranging from minor stone-nicks to more sizeable scratches, scrapes, or dents. Close examination may even produce evidence of more serious damage with rust appearing in the rocker panels, lower portion of fenders, or at other points. This time of year is an especially important one to make needed repairs. For winter road conditions take a harsh toll of car bodies. Once paint is chipped away and bare metal is exposed, corrosive action begins and will continue to grow until arrested and eliminated by repair. Metal deterioration can also occur from beneath the car. This usually goes undetected until rust appears on the outside surface after corroding the metal behind. (Undercoating will, in most cases, prevent the start of this latter form of corrosion). In either case, the longer the damage is neglected, the more extensive and time consuming the repair becomes, thus increasing your repair bill. Once you’re ready for repairs, your next and most important step is to locate a reputable auto body repair and refinishing shop
