Mrs. Cecil Kaufman underwent surgery at Parkview hospital in Fort Wayne on Monday. Mrs. Edna Peebles attended worship service Sunday morning at the Quaker Haven camp. Rev. Ken Pickering was the minister of the day. The Church of God had an ice cream social on the lawn Saturday evening. A carry in supper will be held in the fellowship room of the Church of God on Saturday evening for the Teen Ambassadors. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Piper were hosts to a carry-in dinner Saturday at their home in Epworth Forest. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gale, Columbia City; the Floyd Stellers, Ligonier; Lura McLellan, Mr. and Mrs. Orvel McLellan, and Ethel Saltzgaber, all of Kimmell; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Flory, Hill Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Merril Stickel of Waubee Lake; and Mrs. Fred Phaneuf of Huntington.

Mrs. Margaret) Teghtmeyer of North Webster and Mrs. Merea Woodworth of Fort Wayne were supper guests Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Redding. Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Stump were supper guests of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Moerehen, Sunday evening. Mrs. Jesse was honored Sunday witn a birthday dinner at the home of her spn-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Juday at their Lake Wawasee home. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Pdul LeCount, and Paul Schemerhorn of Wawaka, Dr. and Mrs. Robert A’lber and children of Ligonier and Mr. LeCount. The Harold Juday children were home too for their grandmother's birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Black attended the Antonides reunion at the Paul Antonides cottage, Klinger Lake near Sturgis, Mich., Sunday. j Community Hands 4-H Has July Meeting The Community Hands 4-H club had a meeting in July. John Busch called the meoting to order. Jim Hursey led the pledge to the American flag and Malinda Nadier led the 4-H pledge. A tour was taken of several of the members’ homes. Those attending the conservation field trip were Michele Bieber, Connie Hoopingarner and Steve Hoopingarner. Attending camp were Kevin Coy, Calvin Busch, Nathan Busch, Becky Busch, Connie Hoopingarner and Steve Hoopingarner. The Round-up was attended by Elaine Hoopingarner, Aarron Busch and Nathan Busch.

Syracuse Locals Mr. and Mrs. John Hay and children of Santa Tome, Venezuela, have arrived for a visit with Mr. Hay’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Hay at Lake Wawasee. Mrs. June Davis, Syracuse, has resigned her position as PB X operator at the Goshen hospital. Mrs. Davis has been the PBX operator for two years. Mrs. Marie Schrader and Mrs. Ray Edwards, Syracuse, were hostesses for the Tippecanoe Lake Country Club bridge-lunch-eon last Wednesday. Mrs. K. K. McGarvey of Syracuse won a table prize.
