Teen Ambassadors Webster Saturday, Those who have an idea that teen-agers are presently prone to hold all things in contempt can acquire a more refreshing perspective at North Webster on August 9. The Teen Ambassadors are scheduled to pop into town Saturday for a concert of song at 7:30 at the North Webster Church of God. The four-yfear-old group of 50 " teen-age songsters is an original product of the Friends churches in Ohio and Indiana. The choir’s birth in August, 1965, stemmed from the conviction of several youths who felt the need to present a positive message of joyful living. Since the group was organized more than four years ago, the enthusiastic singers have attracted youth from other denominations. Now 5C voices strong they have traveled thousands of miles in the three state area of Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan. Everywhere they go, listeners are thrilled to see and hear teenagers musically expounding on the more substantial heritages of America. The young musicians donate their time and travel. From freewill offerings received at each of their appearances, the Ambassadors have raised more than SB,CCO during the past four years, and these funds have been turned over to the support of missions in East Africa, Jamaica, and Oklahoma. So, for a switch to the positive, the general public.is invited to the program Saturday. The repertoire includes spirituals, gospel songs, anthems and choruses; plus trios, duets, solos and instrumental numbers. It’s free, except that those who attend will probably feel impelled to dig down and chip hi a bit. It’s worth more than dollars and cents just to see a group of teenagers singing along on the right side of the fence.
