Some lawns around the lakes and channels are covered and really looks like snow. I have not noticed it on the uptown streets until this year. It gets into the business houses‘and steres and is very hard to get oft of carpeting. Tom Kitch, youth center director, tells us that they have been sealing the floor at the center. He did not know if it would be finished in time for the Friday night dance or not, but they made it. Mrs. Amy Baldwin of near Syracuse received a letter postmarked the USS Princeton with a Memory Apollo 10 stamp, dated May 26. I have received two letters, one postmarked USS Guadalcanal, and a large stamp on the back, U. S. Navy Recovery Force-Apol-lo Manned Flighted 9-Atlantic.

Kramer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald V. Kramer of 127 North Shore Drive, Syracuse, has been graduated from this Valparaiso Technical Institute with an associate degree in engineering electronics. Valpo Tech’s programs are designed to meet the increasing demands of the advancing electronics industry for techical specialists in every branch of the field of electronics. ‘Our Uniter/ States’ Is Cub Scout Theme
Cub scout pack 28 of Syracuse held its last meeting before summer vacation recently. The theme was “Our United States”. Opening was by den 2. Mrs. Williams, den leader, gave the beginning paragraph of a cub Seoul's duty to his country, in following each cub in her den gave the meaning of what his duty was to his country. Cub master Jim Hann made the summer announcements as follows: All Cubs to take part in the Memorial Day parade. June 10, the pack will leave the sccut cabin at 6 p.m. for a skating party and will return to the scout cabin at 10:45. Each parent must sign an insurance paper before Cubs can go. June 28, Webelos will go on a 6-mile hike, leaving the cabin at 2 p.m. Each must have a foil lunch and a three foot piece of rope in sack with name on it. July 12, pack will meet at Calvary United Methodist church at 4:30 p.m. for the Syracuse police and firemen's street parade. August 15, the Webelos will have an overnight camp-out. August 30, the pack will have a cook-cut in the scout woods. Fcr this month each boy of the pack was to look up and draw the border lines of a state that was given to him by his leader and then get the state bird, flower and tree. Some were colored in and these who found the pictures of the tree, bird or flower, then placed this information on the art paper ready for the pack meeting. Some of these were picked up by the den leader coach, Mrs. James Hann, to be used in February for the window display when things will be shown that the clubs did in the past year.
