Syracuse Alumni To Meet May 31; To Auction Old SHS Pictures
Plans are moving rapidly and invitations have, been sent for the annual dinner of Syracuse high school alumni. This year’s dinner will be held in the Syracuse school cafeteria on May 31 with continuous serving from 6 to 8 p.m. Os special interest this year will be the auction of the pictures that have hung on the walls of the school. All of the pictures have been restored and repro-. duced and mounted on a stand as a permanent display. The work has been sponsored by the Alumni association from monies collected at last year’s banquet and from donations. Clair Archer of Cromwell will serve as auctioneer. It is hoped there will be a large attendance and enough money gleaned from the auction to enable the association to embark cn another worthwhile project in the name of Syracuse high school. Members of the association who do not receive an invitation and wish to attend should contact Mrs. Edward Coy at 118 Allen street, Syracuse, or call her after 5:30. There is difficulty in obtaining correct addresses for the records. If there are changes the alumni officers would appreciate having them since the major reason alumni do not receive their notifications of the annual meeting is incorrect addresses. There are some of the classes in the early 1900’s that need to have their members named so point which is the Southeast corner of Sycamore Street as shown on the recorded plat of the First Extension to Second Addition to the Village of Wawasee; thence North 8 degrees and 25 minutes West, 12.75 feet; thence North 85 degrees and 30 minutes East, 62.95 feet: thence South 5 degrees and 17 minutes East on and along the the center line of the McConnell Ditch to the point where said ditch intersects the South line of the North Half of the Southwest Quarter. Section 8, Township and Range aforesaid: thence South 89 degrees and 4 minutes West, on and along the said South line of the said North Half of said Southwest Quarter to the place of beginning. The said conditional use of real estate will permit the construction and operation of a mobile home park on the above described real estate. All persons interested in said petition and matter should appear at said time and place and they will be given an opportunity to be heard. JOSEPH W.
