Both are juniors. Tom, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Barker of r 1 Pierceton, is on the college preparatory curriculum and is active in band, stage band, choir, Boys’ Glee club, swing choir, FTA, National Honor Society and is basketball manager. ? Curtis is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Gates of r 2 Pierceton, and also is on the college preparatory curriculum. He is active in Boy Scouts, wrestling, the science club, and National Honor Society.
Bayh Introduces Bill Calling For An Office Os Executive Management
WASHINGTON, D. C„ April 25 — Senator Birch Bayh (D-TndJ joined with Senator Cranston (DCalifJ in a resolution asking the shutdown of the Job Corps installations be suspended until Congress has had an opportunity to review the Job Corps Program. The Senator said that President Nixon’s order to shut down 59 Job Corps Centers (half , in all) might yield an immediate 100 million dollar savings for the Administration in 1970 but questioned the expense it would cause the government in the long lun. He pointed out the closing would represent a reduction of more than 17.000 opportunities for hard-core disadvantaged young persons in a comprehensive live-in job training center.
