VanHemert, as the town’s building commissioner, is well prepared to discuss the pros and cons of annexation and is willing to do so. I O&Sk I i Town's 11 I ' 1 Milford, Ind. By JERI SEELY How is your spring cleaning coming? By the looks of Oui" Town most of us could do some improving here and there on our property and you would be surprised how one small project of clean, ing, painting or fixing can help! I know it’s a never ending job—the limbs blow from the trees as fast as you can rake them up, the weeds and grass keep growing and must be pulled out or mowed and the house seems to get dirty and unarranged as fast as you clean it. I also know it’s hard to do everything that needs to be done in this hurried work-a-day world, but if we plan and do a little each night it isn’t long until the job has been completed . . . Try it, it works! « # $ Speaking of spring and cleaning—do you have any extra newspapers lying around your house? If so, why not give Johnny Replogle or Dick Hepler a call. The junior high group of the Milford Christian church is having a paper drive this coming Saturday and they’ll be glad to pick up your papers for you. Lawrence Shultz, North Manchester author, lecturer and collector, will speak on “Our Kosciusko County Indian Heritage” at the county historical society meeting Monday evening in the Shrine building at Warsaw. Meeting time: 7:30. r Mr. Shultz will be remembered by many residents of Our Town since he and his family served at Camp Mack on Lake Waubee for a number of years before, moving back to North Manchester. Our congratulations to Mrs. Amanda J. Davisson of Our Town. She was recently elected to serve as president of the state button society. The society held its annual meeting in Indianapolis. $ 4 s Best wishes for a speedy recovery go to Rev. Richard Sumner of the United Methodist church. Seems he’s been a little under the weather the past few days. Mike Mauk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mauk of Milford is home on leave. He will be home for about one and one-half weeks and then will return tc Great Lakes where he is stationed with the Navy.

Comments On Drew 4
Dear Editor, You asked the readers of the Mail-Journal to comment on the articles written by Drew Pearson and Jack Anderson. These organizations that Drew Pearson calls neo-Nazi are the complete opposite. I am a board member of the Liberty Lobby and there is no anti-Negro or anti-Jew. What Liberty Lobby does is inform the people of what bills are introduced in support of the United States. Two of the bills we support are S. J. Res. 6 and H. J. Res. 79, which would put nondenominational prayers in schools and other public places. Also we oppose the registation of guns and ammunition by the federal government. And talking about Drew Pearson and Nazism, Hitler registered guns in Germany. Then before the war he confiscated all guns and the citizens of Germany were defenseless. As for the Liberty Lobby contributing funds to candidates of our choice, this we did, and there is no law prohibiting this. These candidates are great defenders of our freedom. Yes we are supporting Mr. Otto Otepka. While Otto Otepka was Security Officer, he investigated Walt Whittman Rostow and he had plenty of legal information that could have put Rcstow behind bars. This is why Rostow had Mr. Otepka eliminated from his duty as security Officer of the United

I am also a member of the Press Ethics Committee. The function of this committee is to rate the ’ new’s reporters and broadcasters on how true they present the news to the people. The reason for this is to encourage the newsmen to be more honest and report the truth, instead of the falsefied news of today. For more information write, Press Ethics Committee, 1061 National Press Bldg., Washington, D. C., 20004. These are just a few points in proving Drew Pearson and Jack Anderson wrong. These two have been doing this smutsmearing for years. If anybody is supporting tjie communists movement it is Drew Pearson and Jack Anderson. Mr. Editor; what you decide to do is your business, but don’t you think the truth rather than the lies of Drew Pearson and Jack Anderson. CARDS THANKS IN MEMORIAM In memory of our dear one who passed away April 26, 1959. Oh our loved one how we miss you. Often times tears swiftly flew, since you left us, oh so quietly ten long, lonesome years ago. Only God can know our heartaches. Only God alone does care.
