1 wish to dispute something you have heard all your life about the Galilean. And I want to do it in such a manner that you cannot possibly misunderstand me. I wish to make myself explicitly clear on the subject. I don’t want you to think there is a misprint or that 1 don’t mean what I say. Now, with that as a foundation, brace yourself for the statement I’m about to make. The Galilean did not come to get us into Heaven. There, now, 1 have said it. And I mean exactly what I have said. He did not come to get us into Heaver.. I know what you have heard all your life. I know what you have been led to believe. I know what some wellintentioned fellow has spent much time trying to tell you. But I still want you to know that this much is true—He did not come to get us into Heaven. I had heard that this was the reason He came, to get us into Heaven. I had heard that all the days of my life. Every fellow on the radio, every fellow in the church building, every fellow bringing me literature has been telling me that this was the reason He came—to get us into Heaven. In growing up I read it in some of the literature. Becoming an adult I continue to read it in some of the literature. Some fellows have made an extensive search and have even listed

the things I have to do if I want to go there. Without these things, they say, I can never make it to Heaven. Despite what they have wrote, despite what they have said, I still want to make one thing clear—He did not come to get us into Heaven. Now somebody is heading to get their Good Book and are about to take pencil in hand and write and straighten me out. I already get quite a bit of their literature in the mail. Now I am about to be deluged with it. It will come in bundles. Letters telling me what 1 have to do, what steps are necessary, what rules I have to follow to get there. They are already quoting from the Good Book some words that they are going to put down on paper and help me get straightened out on this matter. But it matters not if 1 get ten thousand letters, it will not change the truth. Nor will it keep me from making one thing crystal clear—He did not come to get us into Heaven. Some of them are boiling now. Their faces are turning red. Their blood pressure is going up. They are wishing they could stand in my face and quote it to me. Despite that, I wish to say once again that He did not come to get us into Heaven. You see, there is one fact that we always overlook. That is that we cannot get into Heaven unless Heaven first gets into us. And that’s the reason He came—to get Heaven into us! —Five Star Features
