Meet The Wawasee Seniors
JERRY WAYNE MYERS Jerry Wayne Myers is the son of Chet and Emma Warren of r 2 Syracuse. He lists English as his favorite subject. Jerry is a member of the Future Farmers of America. After graduation he plans to work and get married. He has one older brother, Royce, who works in Goshen. Our first senior of the week works at Syracuse Rubber Company. Basketball apd football are his favorite sports and hunting, cycle riding and skiing are his hobbies. » . —WHS-ROSE-ANNE WOLFE Rose-Anne Wolfe is the busy daughter of Mrs. Nelly C. Wolfe of r 2 Syracuse. She is a member of the distributive education club, executive council . and homecoming committee. Last year as a junior she was in the homecoming court, on the prom committee and a member of the drama club. For her first three years in high school she belonged to GAA. During her freshman year she took part in the cheerblock and intermural. After school' she plans to continue her education and study business or become a medical assistant. Rose-Anne will graduate with majors in history, English and business and a minor in science. Sales merchandising is her favorite subject. She has an older sister, Evelyn who is 21 and works in an office in New York city, and several younger brothers and sisters, Sharon Brase and Jay Wolfe, both sophomores in high school; Bryan Wolfe and Rusty Hayden, both sixth graders. Rose-Anne, called Rosie, is a cashier in theschool lunch line and works at Klink’s in Syracuse. Watching basketball and baseball are her favorite sports. “I Never Promised you a Rose Garden” is her favorite book. Cooking, reading, swimming and boating are her hobbies. —WHS—DEBRA LEE SEARFOSS Debra Lee Searfoss enjoys reading, watching television and sports. Water sports are her favorites but she pnjoys watching football and basketball too. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Searfoss of r 1 Syracuse. ° Deb will graduate with majors in English; science, math and Spanish and a minor in social studies. Physiology and chemistry are her favorites. She plans to go to Purdue and become a pharmacist. A member of the national honor society, she is also a member of the FTA, cheerblock and music club. She attends the United Methodist church. Her oldest sister, Sherry, is a teacher in West Lafayette; a second sister. Mrs. Fred (Jane) Stockinger, is a nurse and lives in Grand Rapids, Mich., with her. doctor husband; Sally attends Purdue university where she is majoring in home ec and is in her junior year; Robert (R. T.) is a sophomore at Purdue and is majoring in aeornautical technolpgy. -WHSTERRY LYNN MOSER •a Terry Lynn Moser is the son of Kenneth and Wanda Moser of r 1 North Webster and has a letter in track and football. He is a member of the drama club, letterman’s club, orchestra and the football, wrestling and track teams. 'He will graduate with majors in math, science and English and minors in foreign language, history and business. Algebra is his favorite subject. After graduation Terry plans to enter the service. He is the oldest member of
the family and has brothers and sisters, Toni, 16, and a junior; Tim, 13, in the eighth grade; Jody, 11. and in the sixth grade; and Judy, 11, and in the fifth grade. He works at the Backwater Grocery and lists track as his favorite sport. “Animal Farm” by George Orwell is his favorite book and he enjoys a comic collection for his hobby. —WHS—STEVEN THURLOW MOCK Steven Thurlow Mock is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thurlow Mock of r 3 Syracuse. He will graduate with majors in English, social studies and business and minors in Spanish and math. Government and typing II are his favorite subjects. His activities include intramural basketball, baseball, track and looys cheerblock. He is also a member of the United Methodist church and American junior bowling congress. Steve has several bowling awards and awards in. track and basketball. He plans to attend business college and maybe International Harvester. His only sister is Mrs. Larry (Patti) Martindale of Syracuse. Last summer he worked at the North Webster lumber yard. His favorite sports are baseball, basketball and bowling. “Grapes of Wrath” and “American Tragedy” are his favorite books. Bowling and reading are his hobbies. —WHS—CATHY SUE STAMPER Cathy Sue Stamper is the daughter of Kermit Stamper and ’•Mrs. Patsy Stamper, both df Milford. She will graduate with majors in home ec, English and social studies and a minor in typing. Music and English are her favorite subjects. She is a member of FHA, pep club, GAA and belonged to the Rhetama club at Milford. She is also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the United Methodist church and its youth group. After graduating she plans to work. She has one sister, Sandy. Cathy babysits. Bowling is her favorite snort. “Gone with the Wind” is her favorite book and she likes to sew, sing, bowl and ride horses for her hobbies. —WHS—GARY LEE AGLER Gary Lee Agler is the only child of Harold and LaDonna Agler of r 2 Syracuse. He is a member of the choir and UMYF at Saint Andrew’s United Methodist church. After graduating in the spring with majors in math. English, science and social studies and a minor in Latin he plans to join the navy, then go to college. History and English are Gary’s favorite subjects. Motorcycling, especially ling is his favorite spcrtA“The Foundation Trilogy” •by Isaac Asimon, is the book and his hobbies incljride coin/collecting and rock collecting I and polishing. \ -WHSDEAN D. MARTIN Dean D. Martin plans to work next summer and then attend Porter or Indiana - university in Fort Wayne. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Martin of r 1 Leesburg. Dean, or "Dino 7 ’ if you smile wh~n you say it, will graduate with majors in social studies, industrial arts and English and minors in math, science and business. Industrial arts and English are his favorite subjects. He participates in baseball, bowling and intramural basketball. He is also a member of the lettermen’s club.
Dean has a varsity letter in baseball and minor letters in basketball and track. He has two older sisters, Charlene Buchanan; who is a housewife; and Mrs. Jim (Sharon) Lowe, who is a factory worker; and a brother Dyle who is a sophomore at Wa'wasee. All reside on r 1 Leesburg. This senior works at the Tippecanoe country club and enjoys basketball and track. H. G. Wells is the author he favors. —WHSSHARON KAY FREDERICK Sharon Kay Frederick enjoys sketching and sewing and is the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. W. J. Frederick of Syracuse. She will graduate with majors in math, science, English and social studies and minors in business, art and Spanish. Government, art and chemistry are her favorite subjects. She is a member of the senior executive council, annual staff, GAA, cheerblock, FTA and national honor society. She is also a member of the Syracuse Church of God, president of the CGYA and Sunday school secretary. She has a Spanish award, typing and shorthand pins and was recently named Wawasee’s Good Citizen in the DAR sponsored contest. After graduation Sharpn plans to attend Ball State university and enter the field of teaching. She has one older sister, Mrs. Carroll (Carol) Koble, who is a library aid at Wawasee high school; and two older brothers, Philip in the army and James at Findlay college at Findlay, Ohio, where he i& a sophomore. Sharon works at Smith-Wal-bridge camp during the summer. Basketball is her favorite sport and “To Kill a Mockingbird” is her favorite book.

We had a very disappointing semi-formal dance. When first I received word that Roosevelt Johnson and the 7 C’s couldn’t come because Roosevelt had the ■ flu, but then the other scheduled dance band didn’t show up. I’m very sorry it turned out that way ’cause every one looked so nice. There will be a dance Saturday night, Jan. 4, featuring the old Royal V group, now called the “Endless Summer.” Dance will be from 8 until 11 p.m. As you can see, our ice skating rink is being put in, so bring your skates and maybe we can play some hockey. We hope everyone had a real Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Caroline Morris And Dennis Wagoner Married At Indianapolis, Dec. 21
In a setting of flowers and candles, Miss Caroline Marie Morris and Dennis Kirby Wagoner exchanged wedding vows on Saturday, Dec. 21, in the Meridian Street United Methodist church, Indianapolis. Dr. Hanson officiated at the double ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald P. Morris of Carmel. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wagoner of North Webster. For her wedding the bride chose a gown of white silk embroidered with Chantilly lace and pearls. Three - quarter sleeves were a feature of the molded bodice and an attractive back bow topped her chapel length train. Her veil of silk illusion was secured by a cluster of pearls and she carried a bridal bouquet of white roses. Bridal attendants, Miss Barbara Cummingham of Indianapolis, maid of honor, and Miss Candy Cummingham, Indianapolis, and Miss Susie Reuter, Valdosta. Ga., bridesmaids, wore full length gowns of moss green velvet and satin with matching veils. Each carried a cascade bouquet of red carnations. The bridegroom was attended by Richard White, North Webster, best man; and Dennis Stalter, Donald Jernigan, both of
North Webster, Jim Rooney, Fort Wayne and John Roberts, Syracuse. At a reception held in the church parlor for 150 guests, Miss Jill White of Syracuse registered the guests. Mr. Wagoner is a” junior at Manchester college. The couple will reside at Tippecanoe lake. Milford Locals Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Brooks entertained Mr. and Mrs. Ted Brooks, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Brooks and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brooks and Robie, all of Milford; Miss Susan Brooks of Goshen; and Kenneth Brooks of Fort Wayne on Christmas Eve. Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Jones of Golden, Colo., spent several days last week visiting friends and relatives in the Milford community. They have been residing in Germany for the past two years where Stuart was with the U. S. armed forces. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hartter of Milford entertained at Christmas dinner for Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Randall and Mrs. Maxine Robinson and Joann, all of Locsburg; and Mr. and Mrs. James Randall, Hunter, Eric and Shanna of Warsaw.
