ANNUAL THANKSGIVING The annual Sanderson family reunion is held Thanksgiving day at the Silver Lake Conservation building. Mrs. Ora Irvine and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Irvine attended from Leesburg. TEEPLE, John Edward Mr. and Mrs. Bob Teeple are the parents of a seven pound, five ounce son bom at 2 a.m. Monday. The new arrival has been named John Edward. Mr. and Mrs. Lawston Stone of Warsaw are maternal grandparents and Mr. and Mrs. John Teeple of Oswego are paternal grandparents. Mrs. Nettie Teeple is a gr°at - grandmother. The Teeples also have two daughters. ENTERTAINS AT A BEILATED THANKSGIVING DINNER Mrs. Nellie Anglin entertained Sunday at a belated Thanksgiving dinner for Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Anglin, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Anglin and Mr. and Mrs. John Anglin and family. To Serve In Viet Nam E2 David Brookins, who served his basic training at Fort Campbell, Ky., and his AIT at Fort Polk, La., is spending his leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Don Brookins. On December 19 he will report to Fort Lewis, Wash., where he expects to leave for a year of duty in Viet Nam. Christmas Party Os Reading Club Mrs. Warren Rosbrough was hostess Monday night to members of the Leesburg Reading club for their Christmas party and gift exchange. Mrs. Everett Tom gave the devotions and roll call was answered by bringing a gift or tree decoration. Mrs. Ruth Ann Anglin had the program. She showed two films, “The Twelve Days of Christmas" and “Harold With the Purple Crayon”. She also sang “Little Jesus Boy” and all sang carols. The door prize was won by Mrs. Herschel Albert. Refreshments were served to two guests, Miss Peggy Jo Tom and Mrs. Garland Lowery, and to other members present, Mrs. Art Smith, Mrs. Herman Allen, Mrs. Max Rosbrough, Mrs. Everett Tom, Mrs. Josephine Hopkins and Mrs. Ralph Brubaker. Meeting Os Eastern Star At a regular meeting of Eastern Star held Tuesday night all having birthdays in August, September, October and November were escorted across the west and presented a gift. A white elephant sale was held with SSO being given to the worthy grand matron for her project. Refreshments of coffee, birthday cake and pumpkin pie were served following the meeting. The next meeting will be December 10 with a Christmas party and $1 gift exchange. Later Decision On Hiring Os Town Marshall At the December meeting of the town board held Monday evening at the town hall it was decided to make a decision later on who to appoint for town marshall. There has been two applications. All bills were approved for payment. Curb repair will not be made until spring because of weather conditions. Richard Klopenstein was re-elected president of the board for another year. Waubee Grange Meets Friday The Waubee Grange met Friday evening, Nov. 29, at the Milford hall with the master, Raymond Pinkerton, presiding. Reports were heard from different committees and the women’s activities committee plan to send gifts to the Grange’s Adopt-a-Patient at the Fort Wayne state school. Cards were signed by all and sent to Mrs. Lloyd Felkner for her birthday, and to Mr.” and Mrs. Otto Wiggs for their wedding anniversary. A thankyou letter was read from Blake Baumgartner who received one of the servicemen’s boxes packed by the Grange ladies. The committee for the evening was composed of Mr. and Mrs. Max Anglin, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hollar. The next meeting will be held on Friday evening, Dec. 13, instead of the regular Thursday evening. A pot luck supper will be served at 6:30 followed by a Christmas party and gift exchange. Each lady is asked to bring an extra small gift suitable to be used for game prizes.
Syracuse Man Involved In ThreeCar Accident Margaret A. Maurer, 22, of Goshen, suffered a laceration to her right knee and a laceration and abrasion to her forehead in a
three-car accident on Madison street near College avenue, Goshen, at 5:26 p.m, last Wednesday. She was driving a 1969 Opel when she braked her auto, attempted to stop, but rammed into teh rear of a 1962 Chevrolet being operated by Ralph E. Gorsuch of r 2 Goshen. The Gorsuch auto bumped into a third car, a 1968 Oldsmobile, being driven by 'George C. Kistler, 34, r 4 Syracuse. Mrs. Maurer was taken to the Goshen hospital. Damages to the autos were set at $1,500.
Legal ORDINANCE NO. ?B<lß WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Town of North Webster. Indiana. has determined that the erection, placing or locating of a mobile home, as hereinafter defined, within the corporate limits of the Town of North■■ Webster. Indiana, in other than a mobile home court, trailer camp, or trailer court, approved by Indiana State Board of Health, constitutes a public nuisance; NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Town Board of North Webster. Indiana; 1. That any person, firm, or corporation who shall erect, place or locate a mobile home, as hereinafter defined, after the effective date of this ordinance upon any real estate situate within the corporate limits of the Town of North Webster, Indiana, in other than a mobile home court, trailer camp, or trailer court, approved by Indiana State Board of Health, shall be guilty of a misdem anor and. upon conviction thereof, shall be fined not less than One Dollar (SI.GO) nor more than Ten Dollars ($10.00) for each and every offense thereof. 2. DEFINITION: A mobile dwelling unit shall name living quarters such as house trailers, truck bodies, tents, bus bodies, railroad cars, shacks and improvised shelters which may be moved by tractor, truck, automobile or horses or can be carried, transported or towed from one place to another . without the use of regular house moving equipment; that use for such ° living quarters shall include the acts of sleeping, preparation of meals or any sanitary measure such as bathing, dish washing or laundering clothing or any natural performed operation which provides waste material objectionable from a nuisance standpoint. 3. That each day that a mobile home is so located within the corporate limits of the Town of North Webster. Indiana, shall constitute a separate offense under the terms and provisions of this ordinance. 4. That the effective date of this ordinance shall be from and after passage and publication thereof in the manner prescribed by law. Passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Town of North.
