i 1 The Church... B A HOPE OF OUR COMMUNITY, OUR NATION I va’a ....... *.„■ W. . I.IIUIW " ” —» — —- Strategy It’s Tim’s move, and he is taking a long time thinking it over. In chess, if you’re a good player, you don’t play quickly. If you do, your opponent may outwit you. Military strategy, they say, is based on the rules of chess. So are many of the "higher games” in business and finance. Yet, when it comes to life itself, the rules of chess apply in only a limited way. In life, you can’t be totally objective. You can’t exist on logic alone. The Church teaches that though we surely need logic in order to live successfully, we also need compassion, tolerance, love, understanding, and the strength that comes with faith. Although life is not a game, we must have the help and strength of the Church to discover those rules that will determine our ultimate destiny. mH jWml - * '..purighl KflJlrr Advertising Service Ini'. I X The Bible's Answer: REPENTANCE I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Luke 13:3. Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. Acts 3:19. IRcnwnEs SAINT ANDREW’S .
