TO HEAD EUROPEAN TRIP — Eudolph Holycross, head of the Columbia*City Joint high school social studies department, will return to the European campus during the summer of 1969 as group advisor of the World Academy Schools of foreign study. The academy offers 32 high school courses in the summer semester on the European campus. Mr. Holycross is enrolling high school students for two courses — contemporary European Civilization and comparative European government. The tour begins June 20 and will ,close about July 30 and will visit seven cities. Mr. Holycross may be contacted at the high school or at his home in Larwill.

NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS OF ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS Notice is hereby given the taxpayers of Winona Lake, Kosciusko County. Indiana, that the proper legal officers of said municipality at their regular meeting place at 7:00 o’clock p.m., on the 4th day of November, 1968, will consider the following additional appropriations which said officers consider necessary to meet the extraordinary emergency existing at this time. Oct. 23 * 30 NOTICE OF PETITION FOR LOCATION OF PUBLIC HIGHWAY NOTICE is -hereby given that a petition has been filed with the auditor of Kosciusko County, Indiana, for the location of a public highway in Kosciusko County, Indiana, which is described as follows, to-wit: All of that certain road contained within and comprising a part of the Plat of Hawaiian Village Addition to Wawasee Village and«- designated therein as North Koko Drive and South Koko Drive, which said highway is 50 feet in width throughout said entire Plat and has two turn-arounds therein, each of said turn-arounds being 100 feet by 50 feet, and all as set forth in Plat Book 5, page 147, in the office of the recorder of Kosciusko County, Indiana. Said road as set forth in the Plat of Hawaiian Village Addition to Wawasee Village runs north and south and is to the west of and adjacent to Lots Numbered 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25 in Hawaiian Village Addition to Wawasee Village. HONORED AT BIRTHDAY SUPPER A supper was given on Sunday in honor of the birthday of Michael Zimmerman, Sr., at the Zimmerman home. Jack Gerber and family of Paulding, Ohio. RETURN FROM MICHIGAN VACATION Mr. and Mrs. Roy Schultz of Milford spent Wednesday, Oct. 6 through Friday, Oct. 8, traveling through Michigan. While in Battle Creek they took a tour through the Post and Kellogg cereal plants. They also visited Hartwick Pines, Grayling, Mich., and returned home along the coast visiting such cities as Holland, Mich. ENTERTAINS IN HONOR OF BIRTHDAY Mrs. Donald Hall of Milford entertained in her home Sunday evening in honor of her grandson, Todd Grove’s, birthday. Those present to celebrate his eighth birthday were his par* ents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Grove, his brothers, Mark, Brett, and Thad, all of Milford. Also attending were Todd’s grandfather, Gerald Grove, and Mrs. William Perry, both of Milford. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Wiggs of Milford return'd from a short vacation spent in southern Indiana and Brown county. They also visited the home of James Whitcomb Riley in Greenfield.

They later called on Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rassi, Milford. Mr. Campbell and Mr. Rassi were navy buddies. Mr. and Mrs. Burl Faurote and children of Warsaw were Saturday evening supper guests of Mr. Mrs. Don Fox of Milford. Mr. and Mrs. Fox are the parents of Mrs. Faurote. Steven Weisser of Saint Louis, Mo., visited with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Weisser, Milford, over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Richard of Fort Wayne were guests Sunday of their friend, Allen Brunjes, and his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Brunjes of Milford. An addax is an antelope whicn lives in the deserts of North Africa.
