The Warrior bats were then silenced until the bottom of the sixth when Steve Runge led off the inning with a clean single through the middle of the diamond. Jon Coy then sacrificed Runge to second. After two were out, Gunden poked a single down the right field line to drive Runge across the pate to tie the ball game- Rob Clevenger then provided the clutch hit as he drove Gunden across the plate which proved to be the winning margin. Concord scored a long run in the second inning and tallied another in the top of the fourth.
