REMEMBER ... WHEN IT HAPPENED IN SYRACUSE ONE YEAR AGO Captain Larry D. Nicolai recently returned from a year of active duty as an American advisor in Viet Nam, spoke before the Syracuse Rotary club in the Pickwick Lounge Tuesday noon. Mr. and Mrs. Earle W. Waltz of Lake Wawasee have returned to their home after spending the past month at Lake Worth, Fla. Keith Whiteman is a patient in the South Bend Memorial hospital. Corporal and Mrs. Gary Price of Columbus, Ga., are the parents of a son born March 1 at Fort Benning, Ga. The second in the series of Lenten services was held Sunday night in the Syracuse Methodist church. A play ’lmpromptu” was presented by the Goshen college drama department. FIVE YEARS AGO The Syracuse high school alumni association is sponsoring a fat and lean basketball game in the high school gymnasium Friday, March 15. Paul Syracuse high school principal spoke to the Junior Mothers club Monday evening on guidance direction in the school. Mrs. Gary Eyer was guest of honor at a pink and blue shower in the home of Mrs. Alma Orn Friday evening. John Jazgar, r 4, died Sunday evening in his home. He is survived by four sisters, a brother and several nieces and nephews. John Burns, r 2, was released from the Goshen hospital last week.
