Rev. And Mrs. L. B. Sharp I Retire In Epworth Forest I Rev. L. B. Sharp retired from the ministry this pa< fall and moved from Burket to Forest in the home he and Mrs. Sharp purchased five years ago. ’ The Sharps began their life together on August 22, 1916, when they -were married in the bride’s home near Berne. Nine days later they were assigned their first circuit by the conference which they traveled with horse and buggy. This was three churches, the salary being SSO a month. Rev. Sharp was still a student — in Fort Wayne Bible college. Farmer members fed “old Bill’’ so cost of traveling for the year was $9. The last years in the ministry ■were spent in Muncie, Jalapa, and Gilead. During 51 years of doing the Lord’s work they served 57 churches. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in August, 1966, at Gilead. Three churches combined to make it a day to remember. ' The Sharps have three children.
