A team is required to take the ball below these lines to eliminate lack of action if they are behind in score, and are not closely guarded by oppostion above the mentioned marks. I Benches for players of both teams, as well as the scorers’ and timers' beaches shall be placed at the side of the playing court where facilities permit. 1 Number borders may be no wider than W inch. The penalty is one technical for each player in violation. 4. There are no longer team fouls. County auditor Noble C. Blocker is an ardent high school basketball fan. Not only does be follow closely the fortunes of his home Yellow Jackets, but he is fan enough to want to watch most any ' game involving area teams. For example, he was situated in the upper loft of the Syracuse gym Friday night munching on a bag of popcorn and watching the Milford I Trojans and the North Webster Trojans slug it out. • • • The other day two women passed on the Syracuse-Milford road. Lakeland Youth News By BUD SMITH Our dance Saturday night was a great success with the “Vacs” putting out some mighty fine music. Since we are having a dance at the school Friday night, the Youth Center will be closed during evening hours. Also due to the Friday dance and the Saturday game there will hot be a dance at the Center this week. Next Saturday, however, we will feature the "Sons of Dawn”. I’ll have more on that next week. The Youth Center wiH not be open after school Thursday night this week due to the fact we are having our annual style show and the Center will be used as a dressing room. I would like to mention that we have a large number of persons who are not active members at this time due to the fact their dues have not been paid. Let’s all make an effort to renew cur membership as soon as possible, 0.K.? It will help me immensely on our new home, and not only that but dances are less expensive for members. I have been assured that we will be moving into our new home early in January. This is going to be really great folks, with all sorts of new equipment and a beautiful building al 1 our own. Work is now underway and I suggest that you look each time you go by to note each day’s progress.
