REMEMBER . . . WHEN IT HAPPENED IN SYRACUSE ONE YEAR AGO Walter W. Schimmel, 69, r 2, died Thursday in the Goshen hospital. Survivors are the widow and two sisters. Miss Susan Lung was released from the Goshen hospital Saturday. Jack Schlotterback has leased the motel south of Syracuse, formerly Marley’s Motel Dave Armbruster, 16, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Armbruster of r 1, bowled a 704 series Monday night during league bowling at the Wawasee Bowl. Rev. and Mrs. Robert A. Mundy are the parents of a son, John Stephen born Friday in the Goshen hospital. FIVE YEARS AGO More than SI,OOO in damages to two summer cottages near Lake Wawasee was admitted last week end by a 16-year old Fort Wayne youth, who also implicated another 16-year-old boy from Anderson. The Luther League of the Syracuse Grace Lutheran church attended the homecoming football game at Wittenberg college at Springfield, Ohio, last Saturday. Kosciusko county basketball season opens Friday with all county teams seeing action except Warsaw. He is survived by his wife, one son, one daughter, seven grandchildren, one brother and two sisters. A dinner was given at the Wawasee restaurant honoring Wade Zerbe, who retired November 1 after 24 years of service with the United Telephone company. Robert R.
