Upon successful completion of summer camp and graduation from college, he will be commissioned a second lieutenant in the U. S. Army. Cadet Wood graduated in 1964 from North Webster high school. Leman B. Moore In Germany GRAFENWOHR, Germany — Army private first class Leman B. Moore, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron B. Moore, r 1 Syracuse, is participating in a 30-day field training exercise near Grafenwohr with the 2d Battalion of the 4th Armored Division’s 78th Artillery. During the exercise, which will end August 2, he will take part in maneuvers which include training in observation techniques, communication procedures, reconnaissance and the firing of weapons. The exercise is part of the Seventh Army program to maintain the com- , bat proficiency of his unit. i Pvt. Moore is a cannoneer in Battery* B. 2d Battalion of the division’s 78th Artillery. His wife, Ealicia Moore, lives at 322 N. Eighth St., Goshen. KITCHEN KLATTER Frozen Fruit Salad 2 3-oz. packages cream cheese 1 cup mayonnaise 1 No. 2l> can (3 l _. cups) fruit cocktail, well drained *3 cup drained maraschino cherries, quartered 2*2 cups small marshmallows 1 cup whipping cream. Whipped Rfed food coloring or juice from cherries Soften cream cheese; blend with mayonnaise. Stir in fruit and marshmallows. Fold in whipping cream. Tint with a few drops food coloring or cherry juice. Pour mixture into turn No. 2l> cans or refrigerator trays. Freeze firm, about 6 hours or over night. To serve unmold and slice. Syracuse Locals i Jerry Hoopingarner of Chicago 1 spent the week end at his Syracuse hom^. Peter and Martha Lawrence of Lawrence, N. Y., are visiting Mrs. ; Georgia Buster for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Reynolds of near Nashville spent the week end at Syracuse visiting friends. Syracuse police officer Orville Vand r Reyden is on vacation from j his duties. Thomas Gilbert is taking | his place. Mrs. Paul Pollock and Mrs. Eliza- ! beth Pollock, Syracuse, visited Paul ; Pollock in Parkview hospital in Fort Wayne last Monday. They report Mr. Pollock is recovering nicely from hip surgery undergone recently. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Kern, Syracuse, and Ivan Ritzert, Claypool, were in Indianapolis last Friday evening to attend the graduation of their brother and son. Jade Ritzert, from Sam Teehology Institution. They then went to Penn to visit Mrs. Kern’s grandmother who had fallen, receiving fractures to both arms and other injuries.
