Cited In Warsaw Wednesday Donald Storey, 24, was cited by county deputy sheriff Roger Fellows for reckless driving after his auto hit the hack of a truck driven by Wilbur Van Cuten, 57, r 3 Warsaw. on U. S. 30 about l l * Rifles east of Warsaw last Wednesday. Storey reportedly told the deputy sheriff he apparently fell asleep at the wheel and his vehicle ran into the back of the truck. Both vehicles were westbound on 30. Damage to the Storey car was listed at SSOO with damages of $75 listed to the truck. Mrs. Coverstone Wins Standing At Goshen College Mrs. Jean L. Coverstone, a junior at Goshen college and daughter of Mrs. Kathryn I. Coy of r 2 Leesburg, is one of 140 students to earn “Second group standing” on Goshen college's honor roll. They had a scholarship standing of 3.1 or more and no grade lower than a C.

Brubaker Files Suit Against Old Hickory Gordon Brubaker of Warsaw has filed a $25,000 damage suit in the Kosciusko circuit court against the Old Hickory Tavern’s owners, Buddy and Ellen Smith and Ray Kefarber, and Don Doering of r 1 Warsaw. In the suit Brubaker alleges he sustained personal injuries at the tavern following a noon lunch on January 30 of this year. He was hospitalized and incurred medical - expenses. The complaint states Doering was on the premises making equipment repair and entered the basement through the main floor of the dining area, leaving the opening unguarded and unattended. Brubaker states the opening was partially hidden from view by a coat rack and upon leaving, took his hat from the rack and fell through the opening in the floor, incurring injuries. Legion Team Opens With Two Wins Hie Ligonier Legion team post 243 finally managed to play a dou-ble-header mid opened the season with two wins and no losses. Terry Johns was the winner in the first game and Marty Gaff pitched a nifty two-hitter in the second game. Doug Taggart, Greg Emsberger and Mike Anspaugh led the hitting. The next home game will be at Ligonier July 2, against the Logansport powerhouse.. The team will then be at home on July 4,8, 9 and 16 and will play a twinight doubleheader at Kenddiiville July 12. All games are double-header. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Keriin spent June 18 in Lafayette in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Groves and family. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Gary Groves and daughter Tracy of Brookville, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Randolph and son Scott, Thad Harvey of Kingman and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Russell of Morocco.
