Senior-Tea Held Sunday At Christian Church The senior tea, sponsored by the Columbian Reading Circle and Sorosis dub was held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Christian church in Milford. Mrs. Herbert Stump gave the welcome to the senior girls, mothers and dub members. Mrs. Joseph Judkins introduced Mrs. Glen Morehead who presented the musical program, “What Is Spring”. Mrs. Morehead and Kristi Phend presented the musical selections accompanied by Mrs. Gerald Snider. The group went to the fellowship hall after the program, where they were served punch, cake, nuts and mints at a table decorated in green and gold which are the class colors. Mrs. John Replode and Mrs. Forrest Ramser presided at the table. Each senior girls was introduced and presented a yellow rose which was taken from the centerpiece. Safety Check At Syracuse The Syracuse police department has safety checked about 2,000 cars. Dan Ganger, Syracuse police chief, reported he had not planned a schedule check because of the weather. He said the following service stations were checking cars: Darr’s, Auer's, McCormick-Cutter, Standard and Shell. You may have your car safety checked at any of the above stations or at the Syracuse police station. The check is running throughout May and June. Mrs. Valeria Hughes and her brother, Harold Hopple, Syracuse, attended the tulip festival at Holland, Mich., on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Tollison of Kokomo spent the week end at Syracuse. Mr. and Mrs. Jene Rennee and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Majewski, all of Indianapolis, were at Syracuse on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Johansen have returned to their home on r 1 Syracuse after spending the winter at Sarasota, Fla.
