Warsaw Minister To Speak At "Syracuse Commencement May 17
Robert L. Slavens, principal of Syracuse high school, and Philip K. Fawley. senior class sponsor, announced today that Rev. William J. Vamos, pastor of the First Presbyterian church. Warsaw, will speak at the commencement exercises on Friday evening, June 2, at 8 o'clock in the new gymnasium. Rev. Vamos' topic will be “Three Reasons to Live”. Rev. Vamos, who has been pastor of the First Presbyterian church in Warsaw for 5% years, attended Hanover college and was graduated from the University of Cincinnati. He also is a graduate of McCormick Theological Seminary’ in. Chicago. Prior'to coming to Warsaw, he had his first pastorate at a rural church near Logansport. Since coming to Warsaw, he has been interested in the workshops on mental health and

DAMAGE SUIT FILED IN COURT Floyd Wolfe of near Huntington has filed a $21,000 damage suit in the Kosciusko circuit court against Dale and Norma Strombeck dba PutterIn, a miniature golf course on r 1 North Webster. The plaintiff states the defendant was negligent in permitting a person to swing a golf club in an area in which another could be struck by the club. The plaintiff, according to the com-
plaint, sustained permanent injuries to an eye and lacerations, cuts and bruises about the face on May 15, 1965, when hit by a golf club on the fourth tee by Rick Kein of r 3 Albion.
