Eight Square Club Meets At Knepper Home Mrs. Dan Knepper was hostess to 19 members and one guest of the Eight Square Home Extension dub recently. Mrs. Jack Heder chose “Praying Hands” for her devotionals. The national driver’s test was announced by Mrs. Ellis Wildman. health and safety leader. The test, sponsored by Shell Oil Company, will be given on television on May 23 at 10 p.m. Members were urged to participate in this opportunity to review safety standards in driving. Hints on care and pruning of flowering shrubs were given by Mrs. Russel Hannon. “Tenderay Beef” was the program subject given by Mrs. Fred Kuhn. A report on the spring luncheon was given by county president Mrs. Martin Stookey. Mrs. Meivin Gunter had charge of the games. Delicious refreshments were served by the hostess assized by Mrs. Ronald Koehlinger. Tour Burger Dairy At New Paris The second grade, taught by Mrs. Larry Mohler and Mrs. David Pulver, toured the Burger Dairy at New Paris on Thursday. They were accompanied by Mrs. Howard Lursen and Mrs. Herbert Timmons. Free ice cream cones were given to each one attending. On Tuesday the fourth grade, taught by Mrs. Martha Fawley and Mrs. Darrell Phillips, toured the dairy. Plain Township Volunteer Firemen Entertain Wives The Plain Township Volunteer Firemen entertained their wives at Columbia City Friday evening. Rev. and Mrs. David Gosser were guests. Following the dinner the group went to Fort Wayne to the Coliseum for the Al Hurt show. There were 38 who attended. Legion Auxiliary Meets At Town Hall The American Legion Auxiliary met Tuesday night at the town hall. Hans were made for Memorial Day [ observance.
