Mr. And Mrs. Eric J. Schiller To Serve 'n Tanzania College
Mr. and Mrs. Eric J. Schiller of 107 Westlake avenue, Toronto 13. Ontai-o. have begun a three year service assignment under Mennonite central committee, a church and relief agency with an international program. They will both serve in the Teachers Abroad Program, teaching at the technical college in Dar es Salaam. Tanzania.
Mermaid Festival Planning Committee Will Meet Dec. 15
There will be a meeting of the Mermaid Festival planning committee at 8 p.m Thursday. Dec. 15. at the Lakeland Dairy Bar at North Webster. The purpose of the meeting is to make revisions and improvements to the Mermaid Festival with the suggestions and guidance of the
25 Attend Adult Farm Meeting At Milford The first Milford adult farmer s meeting was held Monday night, Dec. 12. with 25 men from the Milford and surrounding area present The featured speaker was Jim Whitmore of Kouts. He elaborated on the Live Hog Futures Market Mr Whitmore explained just how the futures market can benefit the young and older farmers and how the futures market will tend to stabilize the bog markets < prevent to some degree the z sharp ups and downs experienced in the past by hog producers >. His talk explained in detail the operation of the futures market and provided an element of interest for everyone present. The Milford vo ag department welcomes anyone who is interested to attend future meetings. Several men from the Mentone area were present at Monday’s meeting and it is hoped they wffl return to some of the other meetings. Mr. and Mrs. H. Miller Entertain Home Ec Circle Mr. and Mrs. Herman Miller of r r Milford entertained the home economics circle of the St-Mar-Kos Pomona Grange and their husbands Saturday evening. Dec. 10, at their home west of Milford. A potluck supper was enjoyed by the 16 present, after which Mrs. Ben Thompson presJkd over the business of the circle. Perjects of the Pomona Grange, also consisting of the subordinate members interested in the home economics of the grange. Plans for the Christmas party to be held in Milford at the Waubee Grange hall were discussed. A gift exchange was a feature of the social hour after which games were played.
