He said 91 per cent of those contacted signed the petition winch was carried by him. or one of the other men or women carrying petitions which stated their wish to withdraw from the Whitko Community School Corporation for the purpose of entering the Warsaw school corporation. There were 182 signatures here. Another petition was also carried which stated the undersigned wished to stay with the Whitko corporation, and here there appeared but 17 signatures. Mr. Ringgenberg said it had been i impossible to talk to all the residents. but of those lie had talked to, only a very few did not wish to sign either petition. He said the majority seemed to feel there was no question on the matter. Some, he said, had expressed surprise I over not being included by Washington township, in the petition of residents there to withdraw from ! the corporation. Washington township residents however thought this i move .would be up to the Monroe j residents to decide for themselves. In any event it would appear that i the majority* of both townships once ■ again will be allied together, as i years ago. when Monroe-Washing-ton was fonhed. A meeting was to be held at the , Mbnroe school Monday night, Nov. 28. to further discuss the plans, as well as to explain details of the I survey.
