Deaths ■ Jacob Schmucker Jacob S Schmucker. 86. of r 2 Milford died at 11:30 p.m. Thursday. Nov. 24. at the home of a daughter. Mrs. Monroe Chupp. who resides south of Milford Death was caused by a stroke after an illness erf four weeks Mr. Schmucker was born January 6. 1880. at Nappanee, the son of Mr and Mrs Seth Schmucker. He ; tod spent all his life in the Nappanee community and was a retired , .Anush farmer. His wife, the former I Amanda Wench, died in 1938. [ Surviving in addition to the Milford daughter are two other daughters. Mrs. Jerry Slabaugh of r 2 Milford and Mrs. Marvin Miller of Morocco; three sons, Ezra of Milford and Edward and Melvin, both of Nappanee: 30 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren: a brother. E- ! li of Nappanee; and a sister, Mrs. Felty Hochstetler of Nappanee. I Three brothers, six sisters and a ! daughter preceded him in death. Funeral services were conducted at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Melvin Trover home, two and a half miles southwest of Milford. Rev. Melvin i Miller officiated and burial was in I Weldy cemetery, Mrs. Levi Miller ! Funeral services will be held at 930 a m UHirsday in die Jerry Slabaugh home on county road 900 N. r 2 Milford, for their daughter, Mrs. Levi 'Clara' Miller. Mrs Miller. 27, a resident of Shamrock Meadow Park. Nappanee, died at 11 25 am. Monday in the South Bend Memorial hospital of complications following an auto accident on October 16. The deceased was born to Jerry J. and Iva 'Schmucker' Slabaugh on August 3. 1939. She was a member of the .VniJi faith On August 1, 1958, she and Levi Miller were nxirried. She is survived by her husband: a five-year-old son Mervin; six sisters. Mrs Monroe Miller and Mrs. Leonard Miller, both of Shipshewana. Mrs. Monroe Hochstetler of Corinth. Ontario, Canada, and Mrs. Enul Helmuth. Mrs. Henry Raber and Mrs. John Fisher, all of r 1 Milford; five brothers, Richard Slabaugh of Kenton. Ohio, Edward Slabaugh of Millersburg. Jerry Slabaugh. Jr , of Nappanee and Melvin and Glen Slabaugh. both of r 2 Milford: and her parents. Friends may call at the Slabaugh home after noon Wednesday. Burial will be in the Graber cemetery near Nappanee.
