He has been serving in Viet Nam for the past 134 months and will return with the fifth division for another tour of duty in Viet Nam after his leave. Cpl. Richard Bitner Trains In Southern Germany SP4 Richard Bitner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Bitner of Dewart Lake, has returned to Frankfurt. Germany, where he is stationed with the ASA of the United States army. He has completed three weeks of schooling in southern Germany. During week ends he toured Salzburg and Innsbruck in Austria and Garmisch. Germany. Ulis is the third time he has been in the Alps. During his stay in Germany, since October of 1964. he has visited Spain, France and Luxembourg bei sides a number of cities in Germany and trips up the Rhine and | Main rivers. He is planning a 30-day leave : back to visit his parents over Christmas, after which he will return to Frankfurt for further duty. Monday evening Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Gray of Syracuse were sup’per guests erf Mr. and Mrs. Harry’ Juday, also of Syracuse. Mrs. J. A. Rigdon, r 4 Syracuse, has returned home from New York where she spent a month with her brother who had undergone surgery at St. Vinnences hospital there. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Blue of Syracuse lake will leave today (Wednesday) for Lake Forest and Naperj ville. 111., for three weeks.
Syracuse Locals Mrs. Bertha Nicolai is at her home on r 4 having returned from Fairfax, Va. Mrs. Nicolai will return to Fairfax November 25. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Beck. Syracuse, and Mr. and Mrs. Ora Heusler, r 2 Osceola, were at Elwood Thursday where they visited with a brother and uncle, Arthur Whitehead and Mrs. Whitehead. Mr. and Mrs. William Rogers. Syracuse, visited Mrs. Pearl Middleton at the Church of the Brethren Home at Mexico recently. Mr. and Mi’s. Charles E. Beck, and James Simpson of Ligonier and Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Beck, Syracuse. were entertained at dinner Sunday at Foo and Faye’s. The occasion was Calvin Beck's birthday.
