Following the business meeting a surprise shower of gifts was held in honor of Mrs Koontz who will soon be leaving to make her home in Pennsylvania Refreshments were served by the hostess. Fred J. Anglin Fred J. Anglin, 72, of r 2 Lees- . burg, an insurance and real estate ; broker in Kosciusko county for 50 j years, died at 10:30 a.m. Thursday of a heart ailment in the Goshen hospital where he had been admitted six hours previously. He had been in failing health for several months. i Mr. Anglin was born August 12. 1894, at Leesburg, the son erf John W. and Mary Light» Anglin. He married Nellie M. Roberts on February 27, 1912, and she survives. He was a member of the Leesburg Methodist church. Masonic lodge No. 181. all York Rite Masonic bodies at Warsaw, Scottish Rite, Valley of Fort Wayne. Mizpah Shrine. Leesburg Lions club and the Kosciusko County Realtors Ass'n. Mr. .Anglin was past master of the Masonic lodge at Leesburg; past governor of District 25-A, Lions clubs; a member of the Lions International Control Board and of the Lions Cancer Control Board. He was also a past chapter chairman and blood program chairman of the Kosciusko County chapter, American Red Cross. Surviving in addition to the widoware three sons. Marshall W.. Herman S. and John W. Anglin, all of Leesburg: five grandchildren; one brother. Wilbur Anglin of Elkhart: and three sisters. Miss Ethel Anglin of Columbia City. Mrs. Hugh (Edith' McCann and Mrs. Chris (Ida) Kammerer, both of Leesburg. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m Sunday in the Leesburg, Methodist church. Rev. February 14. 1890. and residped in the Syracuse area 47 years, i She was a retired Syracuse school teacher, having taught English and Latin. Miss Hamman was a member of the Syracuse Metliodist church. Miss Hamman was also a member of the Teachers’ Retirement Association. National Teachers Association and the Indiana State : Teachers .Association, She is survived by 10 cousins. Funeral services were lield Sunday in tire Syracuse Methodist church. Rev. She died at 6:30 a.m Wednesday. Nov. 9. at the Huntington County hospital. Huntington. Mrs. Jurgens was bom in Deer ! Creek township, Cass comity. Indiana. on June 24. 1884. Her husband. John C. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs Claude Insiey. McHenry, 111., Mrs Clifford Hoover, Lehigh Acres. Fla., and Mrs. Wayne Stall, Chicago: one son. William Stansberry. Mrs. Xanders was born April 24. 1895. in Syracuse, the daughter of John and Margatet iKitson* Biteman. and had lived here her entire life. She was married to George Xanders August 14. 1913. He survives. Mr. and Mrs. Xanders have spent recent winters in Hollywood. Fla., where they have a home. Surviving are two sons. Mrs. Cain was born June 28. j 1895. in Milford, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Miller. She married Edward Cain in 1914. A lifetime resident of the Milford community. Mrs. Cain was a member of the Bethel Church of the I Brethren Surviving in addition to the husband are two sons.
