Mrs. Don Hoover To Head Silver Thimble Club In 1967 Mrs. Don Hoover was elected to ssrve as the 1967 president of the Silver Thimble club of Milford when the ladies met in the home of Mrs. Virgil Zimmerman on Tuesday evening. Nov. 1. Mrs. Lewis Speicher and Mrs. i Carlton Beer served as co-hostess-es. Christmas gift packets were made ■ by each member to be distributed in Alabama churches during the holiday i season. This was the club's Novem- > ber project. Officers elected to serve with Mrs. Hoover are as follows: Mrs. Jesse Beer, secretary: Mrs. Philip i Beer, treasurer; Mrs. Virgil Zim- : merman, charity box; Mrs. Howard Beer, devotions; and Mrs. Walter : Wuthrich, reporter. Sy racuse-Wawasee Garden Club Plans The Syracuse-Wawasee Garden club met in the Wawasee Lake home of Mrs. Arthur Schrader for the November meeting with Mrs. Carl Reynolds assisting. The ladies discussed plans for the “Christmas Bell Walk” which they will sponsor on December 10: Five homes will be decorated for Christmas. each featuring something different. a greens sale will be offered and refreshments will be served in one of the homes. This is a new venture for the club and every club member is working enthusiastically to complete the plans. The hostesses served dessert at a table beautifully arranged for autum. The next meeting will be at the home of Mrs. R. C. Tytler and the group will make favors to be given at the “Christmas Bell Walk." Rally Day At Clunette The Clunette Methodist church will have a rally day and special dedication services on Sunday. ; Sunday school will be at 9:45 with j morning worship following at 10:45. A carry-in dinner will be held at 12:30. Dedication services will begin at 2 with Rev. Marion King of Lapel las speaker. Rev. King is a former Clunette minister. Rev. David Gosser is the present minister with Fred Powell serving las lay leader. ! The church was completely re- ! modeled in 1960. This year a new organ was purchased to match the oak altar furnishings.
