RONNIE HELMAN HONORED ON BIRTHDAY Mr. and Mrs. Albert Blankenship entertained at dinner Tuesday evening in honor of the fifth birthday of their grandson. Ronnie Helman. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. James Earl and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Blankenship and children of Warsaw. Kathy and Mark Tamer, Kathv Dodain. Tommy and Susie Edgar and Mrs. Jean Helman and Tony. Illene Kammerer Honored At Towel Shower Mrs. Arthur Haab and Miss Edna Lehman were hostesses to a towel shower in honor of Miss Ilene Kami .nr at die Haab home on r 5 Goshen. The evening was spent in embroidering names on towels given to Miss Kammerer. A scrap book was presented to Ilene telling of her past present and future life aixi also of David Pulver's past, present and future life. Their marriage w 11 take place n die near future. Each guest received a pm cushion in colors of blue and gold with a needle in it. Guests were memhers of the Charity-Ettes club and f and- and memlrers of the family. Minn., awaiting surgery at Mayo Brothers Clinic for the removal of a glomas tumor from an inner ear. 1 Tests have revealed the tumor is not malignant but must removed. The United Fund drive began officially in Ligonier on November 1. Mrs. Paul Gerke and Mrs. Calvin Miller have been appointed cochairmen of the residential drive which will be conducted Friday evening. Harry A. Wysong Harry Abram Wysong, 85. of 6880 north Michigaft road, Indianapolis, died Stmday, Oct. 30, at 5:20 a.m., in his home. Death was caused by a stroke and he had been in failing health for three weeks. Mr. Wysong w-as born at Warsawon August 22. 1881. and he married Florence May Kitch, January 1, ; 1943. Sunivors include tire window, one daughter. Mi's. Katlierine Clark of Palm Beach, Fla.: a step-daugh-ter, Mrs. Roy iMarcille' Moore. Syracuse: two grandchildren and one great-grandcliild. Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Flanner and Buchanan funeral home. Indianapolis. Rev. Caa inan of the Church of the Nazarene officiated and burial was in the Crown Hill cemetery, Indianapolis. Bobby Franklin Tobias Bobby Franklin Tobias. 35. of Ligonier, father of Rita Tobias of Milford, was found dead at his home at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. It was reported that the death was caused by a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Mr Tobias '. as bonr at Nappanee on November 12. 1930. to Ed and Katie Yerty Tobias. He was an employee of Mutsctder Brothers at Nappanee, a veteran of the Korean conflict and a member of the Masonic lodge at Milford. Surviving in addition to the Milford daughter and his parents of Nap nee are six brothers. Chalmer of New Paris. Ralph D . Charles W., Willard Levi. Jack and John, al! of Nappanee: and four sisters. Funeral .senices were conducted at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday l in the Wright-Yoder funeral home, Nappanee. Rev. Warren McCuuen officiated and burial was in the Union Center cemetery. Charles W. Dettlinger Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Wright-Yoder funeral home. Nappanee, for Charles W. Dettlinger. Mr. Dettlinger. 92. of Nappanee, died at 4:15 a.m. Wednesday. Oct. 26. at the Orn nursing home in Milford where he had been a patient for eight days. He was born January 3, 1874. at Plymouth. He married Elva Mast on ; September 25. 1901, and she died November 17, 1960. He had made his home with neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Smith. There are no immediate survivors. Floyd Murphy Floyd Murphy, 58. of r 1 Kimmell, brother of Robert Murphy of Leesburg. died unexpectedly in a heart attack at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, at his home. Mr. Murphy was born in Wolf county, Ky., February 15, 1008. His first wife, Opai. died in May of 1965 and, he married Alberta Herendeen on April 1, 1966. Surviving in addition to the Leesburg brother are four sons, George C. of Kimmell. Leßoy D. of Fort Wavne, Estell L. of Churubusco and F. Schimmel. 69, r 2 Syracuse. died at 5 p.m. Thursday in the * Goshen hospital where he had been j a patient since October 12. Mr. Schimmel was bom October 9 1897, at Honesdale. Pa., and married Goldie Method November 3, 1929. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Topeka American Legion Post. Mr. Schimmel was a former rail- ■ i cad employe and was last employed at the Topeka Hardware Store. Joseph Gingerich is a medical patient in Goshen hospital. , Miss Ruth Wellman has accepted a position in the beauty salon of L. S. Ayres Co , in Indianapolis. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Hile have left for Cortez, Fla., after spending the summer months at Atwood Mr. and Mrs. Harry J. Wade are the parents of twin boys, born Tuesday morning in McCray Memorial hospital, Kendallville.

Mrs. Hildebrandt wore a light blue, with silver threads, street 1 ngth gown, and a white orchard. She carried a small white Bible, a i gift of her cousin. Mrs. Jess Larimer of Niles, Mich. Mrs. Jay Rensberger of r 1 Larwill was her sister’s matron of honor. Another sister, Mrs. Joan Williams of Charlotte, Mich., was bridesmaid. Mrs. Rensberger wore a Kelly green suit trimmed in tan i and her corsage was a yellow rose. Mrs. Williams wore an orange sherbet dress with a white carnation corsage. Name Election Boards For Van Buren Township Election board for Van Buren township have been named by the precinct committeemen. They follow: In precinct one. Republican Harold Young has named Mrs. Herbert Baumgartner as inspector, Mi's. Richard Widup its judge, Mrs Arnold Doll as clerk and Mrs. Carl 'Speicher as sheriff. Democrat Dani iel Levemier has named Mrs. Clayton Hollar as judge, Mrs. Robert Rassi as clerk and Mrs. Delbert i Roderick as sheriff. Residents of the first precinct will Ibe voting in the Neer building located next to the old theater building on Main street. Precinct Two In precinct two Democrat Darrell A. Orn has named Chester Felkner as sheriff, Mrs. Ralph Berkeypile and Mrs. Darrell Orn as clerks and himself as judge. The Republican committeeman was unable for comment prior to press I time.
