Deaths < EDITOR S NOTE. Due to a last j minute accident, the dropping of our| last page, the following obituaries were unavoidably omitted from last week’s issue. Also lost in the accident was the Milford-Leesburg hospital news. It lias been revised and is printed elsewhere in this paper.! Pardee Warstler Pardee Warstler, 83, of Leesburg died early Sunday morning, Oct. 16, at his home. He was ill for about a week and died of complications following bronchitis. He was bom near Milford on October 10. 1883. to Manias and Rebecca Hiseyi Warstler. He married Grace Riggenburg in 1905 and she preceded him in death in 1955. September 25, 1958, he married Vivian Rose. Before retiring in 1955 he worked at Power King in Warsaw. He was a retired merchant and had operated grocery stores in Milford. Leesburg and Warsaw. Survivors besides the widow are three daughters. Mrs. Devon (Opal' Smith and Mrs. George <Dorotha’ Bullock, both of Warsaw and Mrs. Edward (Arneal) Gunter of Leesburg; 10 grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren. He had two sons, two brothers and a sister who preceded him in death. The funeral was last Wednesday at 2 p m. at the Mishler funeral Lome in Milford with Rev. Lou:-’ Engle of Dutchtown officiating Burial was in the Milford cemetery Mrs. Lloyd S. Trump Mrs. Ruby E Trump. 79. Decatur, who for years operated the Waterford Grocery near Goshen, died at 150 p m. Thursday Oct 13. n the Cooper nursing home at Decatur. Mrs. Trump was born a: Wausau. Wis., and she married Lloyd S Trump. August 10. 1961 He died November 28. 1961. Sun-v ng are two daughters, Mrs Leo ‘Betty) Kowallik. Syracuse, and Mrs. Hubert <Leoa‘ Feasdi, Decatur; one son. Dr. J Lloyd Trump. Washington. D C : six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Sidney Spurgeon, Antigo. Wis.: and three brothers. Elmer Lambert, Chicago, Charles Lambert. Wausau, and Dewey Lambert, Schofield, Wis Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p m. Goshen. Rev Fuhrman Miller, pastor of the Decatur EUB church, officiated and burial was in the Violett cemetery Mrs Trump was a member of the English I.utheran church at Middlebury. Richard A. Karst Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon. Oct. 16. in the J. A. DeMoney and Son funeral home at .Columbia City for Richard A Karst. 20. of Columbia City, and brother of Paul E Karst of North Webster. Rev J Phillip Blake, pjstor of the Big Lake Church of God. officiated. Burial was in the Greenhsll cemetery. Karst died in an explosion October, 13, shortly before noon, at the Testworth Laooratories, Inc. in Columbia City His injures in a preliminary autopsy showed multiple lacerations. compound skull fractures and

fractures and bums. He lived at 304 , north Walnut street and was an assistant compounder for the above ■ firm. It is believed the blast originated at a 10,000 gal. vertical tank where adhesives were being compounded. The exclusion blew out the west end of the building. The young man wasr working on the second floor, where the explosion occurred. His father, J Frank Karst, and Ira Nicodemus, were also burned in the explosion and were hospitalized. The fire marshal, state fire marshal and Gerald Kessie. plant mana-1 ger, are continuing the investigation. Mr. Kessie was in the east when the tragedy occurred. ; Karst was bom on December 19, 1945, to Frank and Georgiana (Castator) Karst at Columbia City and 1 ved his entire life there. He was married to Ruth Hull. July 3. 1965. at i the Big Lake Church of God. She survives. He graduated from Columbia City Joint high school in 1964. He worked at JEarl Fisher s service station in Columbia City then with the successor to Mr. Fisher. Dale Dale and Don’s service before going to Test worth a year ago. In addition to his brother Paul of North Webster, his wife, Ruth, end his father. Frank, he is survived by his mother: one other brother. John, of Huntington; four sisters. Mrs. LaVern (Sharon* Fudge. Miss Barbara Karst. Miss Carolyn Karst and Miss Patricia Karst: and a grandmother. Mrs. Rosina Karst. All but the two brothers reside in Columbia City Ronald P. Steinmayr Ronald P. Steinmayr. 25. of r 1,. New Paris, a member of the Milford j Apostolic Christian church, died Sunday morning Oct. 16. in the Murphy Medical Center. Mr. Steinmayr was injured last May 5 when he was pinned under a tractor while mowing weeds on the. property of the V. S Rubber Company plant north of Warsaw. He did not regain consciousness alter Hie the accident. Mr. Steinmayr was bom January 10. 1942. in Allentown. Pa, the son of j Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Steinmayr. He graduated from White’s Institute, j Wabash. with honors. He had made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Daniel j Snider, five miles west of New Paris, since January of 1965 Surviving in addition to his parents are a sister. Mrt>. Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock in the McHatton funeral home, Warsaw. Rev. Ross Noffsinger and Rev. Theo Beer officiated and burial was in a Chicago Heights cemetery. Frank B. Shively Funeral service were conducted at 2 p. m. Saturday, Oct. 15, in the New Salem Church of the Brethren I for Frank B. Shively, 70, of r 2 Leesburg who died Wednesday morning. Oct. 12. at his home. Rev. Howard Krieder officiated at the services and interment was in the New Salem cemetery. j Mr. Shively was born November 5, 1895, in Kosciusko county. He married the former Inez Roberts on December 21, 1918, and she survives. Mr. Shively was a farmer and a lifetime resident of the Leesburg community. He was a member of the New Salem church. i Surviving in addition to the widow are two sons. Max Shively of Leesburg and Allen Shively of Syracuse: one daughter. Mrs. John Vance of Fremont. Tracy Jonathan McGill Tracy Jonathan, son of Vernon and lona Ruth < Cline) McGill, r 1 Svrasuse, died in the Goshen hospital Friday. Oct. 14., at 3 35 p. m.. where he was born a few hours earlier. i Surviving are the parents: a brother. Terry David, at home; two-half-I sisters. Donna Jean, at home and Mrs Pauli (Lorain Carson. North Webster; and the grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Cline and William G McGill, all of Millersburg. j Graveside services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Brown cemetery. Millersburg. Rev. Walter Sm th of ’the United Church of Christ. Millersburg. officiated. Jon Edward Sheire Jon Edward Sheire, 25. of Colorado Springs. Colo., formerly of Syraesuse. was one of three men killed Thursday. Oct. 13. when a light plant in which they were riding exploded in the air near Danville, Ind. It was believed Sheire was piloting the craft. !a single-engine Piper Commanche, which had been rented in Colorado Springs when the accident occurred.
Also killed in the accident were Stewart Faulkner, son of the late Roy Faulkner, former president of Cord Motor Company, Auburn, and Mrs. Faulkner ot Richmond; and Louis George of Colorado Springs. Robert Fath of Dubuque, lowa, began the trip with Sheire, Faulkner and George, but left the flight in Dubuque the day before the accident. Sneire was born in Kosciusko county. He was bar manager of the Garden of the Gods chib in Colorado Springs. Surviving are his mother, Cecelia Sheire of 2319 Florida drive, Fort Wayne: two brothers, Robert of Dunedin, Fla., and Louis of Fort Wayne; and his grandparents, Mrs. Margaret Solt of Dunedin and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Sheire of Fairfax, Minn. • I Rosary and memorial services • were conducted at 9:30 a.m. Wednes- > day at the D. Ralph Disher, Jr., Promoted In Viet Nam SAIGON, Viet Nam - Ralph R. Disher, Jr., whose mother, Mrs. Irene E. Disher lives in Milford, was promoted to army first sergeant October 1 in Viet Nam where he is serving with the 552 d transportation company. Sgt. Disher entered on active duty in September 1935 and was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, before his arrival overseas last June. He is first sergeant of the company stationed near Saigon. The sergeant, whose wife, Magdalene, lives at 703 Bellaire Drive, Killeen, Texas, is a 1935 graduate of Syracuse high school and received an associate of arts degree in 1958 from Alan Hancock junior college in Santa Maria, Calif. Goshen Man Elected NIPSCO Director William J. Johnson, president and general manager of the Goshen Rubber Company, Inc., has been elected a director of Northern Indiana Public Service Company, Dean H. Mitchell, NIPSCo chairman and president, announced today. Johnson, who lives at 802 east Sixth street, Goshen, will fill the unexpired term of Paul W. Kerr of Elkhart, who died September 1.
