Patricia Ritler Weds Bobby Lee Jones Friday, September 30
Miss Patricia Ritter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Ritter of r 1 Milford, became the bride of Bobby Lee Jones, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Brindle of Warsaw, in a double iring ceremony Friday, Sept. 30, at 7 p.m. in the home of the bride’s parents. Rev. John W. Jones performed the ceremony. Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a two piece white suit. She wore a w’hite nylon and velvet veil with white forget-me-nots and seaded pearls. Her flowers were red roses. She carried a white Bible. Mrs. Louis Ritter of Warsaw was the matron of honor. She wore a I two piece blue suit. Her flowers were pink carnations. Steven Payne oi Warsaw was the best man. The bride’s mother wore a two piece beige suit with a corsage of pink carnations. A reception followed the cere- 1 mony in the home of the bride’s j parents. The serving table was • decorated with a three tier wedding cake, pink asters and white mums. 'Mrs. Tim Snyder of Dewart Lake, Mrs. Kengry Fifer of Leesburg and Mrs. George Truex of Milford served the 75 guests. Upon their return from a wedding trip to Columbus. Ohio, the newlyweds will reside on r 3 Syracuse. The bride attended Milford high school and is presently employed at Playtime Products, Warsaw. Mr. Jones graduated from W’arsaw high school and is also employed at Playtime Products. fl ' NOVEMBER WEDDING PLANNED — Mr. and Mrs. Eldred A. Mabie of r 2 Syracuse announce the engagement of their daughter Sally Ann to Martin Becker Brown, son of Dr. and Mrs. Franklin Becker Brown of Charleston, W. Va. Miss Mabie graduated from Syracuse high school and Fort Wayne Beauty college. Fort Wayne. She is presently employed at Mary Bushong’s Beauty Salon in Syracuse. Mr. Brown attended Charleston high school and Virginia Episcopal school. Lynchburg, Va., after which he was employed at Union Carbide Olefine Company in South Charleston. BOBBY LEE JONES Newcomers Club Os Syracuse Name Changed The Syracuse Newcomers club met recently in the Budget Investpient office and with the president, Mrs. Lucille Suttlemeyer presiding, voted to change the name of the club to J.F.F.C. The meaning of tlie new name is to remain a secret. Other changes in the club policies were discussed, including the change of helping a needy family at Thanksgiving instead of Christmas as has been the custom in the i past. I Secret pals were revealed and new pals were drawn at the October meeting. Mrs. Max Ganshom and Mrs. Jean Rogers won door prizes. I Refreshments were served by i Mrs. Suttlemeyer, assisted by Mrs. I Rogers to the eight members, and one guest, Mrs. Ganshorn present. The October meeting will be in the home of Mrs. Blanche Ditchett. Syracuse Locals Mr. and Mrs. Harley Lindemuth and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Shoelty of Syracuse attended the Centrevill, Mich., fair recently. Mr. and Mrs. Bevon Crafton, r 3 Syracuse, Dewart Lake, entertained Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Bolen and son. Eugene of Mishawaka, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wooten and son /Ulen of Valparaiso and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Shoemaker of Dewart Lake in honor of the birthday anniversaries of Mrs. Bolen and Mrs. Wooten. Afternoon callers were Mr. and Mrs. James Crafton of Dewart Lake, and Mr. and Mrs. j Donald Laird and daughter, Julie, of Elkhart.

LAST Sunday dinner guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Gilbert of r 1 Syracuse were Mr. and Mrs. Larry Ryman and Tammy of Milford. Mr. and Mrs. Ralleigh Halsey and Joyce of Kimmell and Mrs. Wayne Hughes of Fort Wayne. Mr. and Mrs. Myron Reynolds of r 4 Syracuse have returned to their home at Anderson for the winter. Jayne Poynter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Poynter, Syracuse, has enrolled in Goshen college as a freshman. Miss Poynter will live off campus this year. f f ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCED — Mr. and Mrs. Max Lenwell, Pierceton, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathy Janielle, to Steven John Dierks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Dierks, of Sidney. Miss Denwell is employed at Peg’s Beauty Shop in Pierceton. She is a recent graduate of Ravenscroft Beauty college in Fort Wayne and a 1965 graduate of Pierceton high school. Mr. Dierks is employed by the D. and C. Construction company of South Whitley. He has served three years in the armed forces and is a 1962 graduate of Sidney high school. The wedding will take place January 22 in the Methodist church in Pierceton.
