SYRACUSE CHURCH OF GOD FELLOWSHIP CLASS MEETS JULY 19 The Fellowship class of the Syracuse Church of God met Tuesday evening, July 19, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Torrance. There were 12 present. Rev. Walter Williams, president, conducted the business meeting in regular form. Melvin Niles had charge of the devotions. He read the “Lord’s Prayer” and gave comments on it. Mrs. Williams offered prayer. After the business session it was decided that the next meeting will be at the home of Rev. and Mrs. Victor Yeager. Glen Torrance will give the devotions. Mrs. Ida Hibschman closed the meeting with prayer and Phyliss Troup had charge of the entertainment. Refreshments were served at the home of James Druckamiller and Phyliss Troup.

Martha Lantis And Robert Kaylor, Jl Wed In West Goshen Church Sunday

Rev. Paul C. Lantis, former minister of the New Salem Church of the Brethren near Milford, officiated at the marriage of his youngest daughter Martha and Robert Milton Kaylor, Jr., on Sunday afternoon in the West Goshen Church of the Brethren where Rev. Lantis is the pastor. Mr Kaylor is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert M. Kaylor, Sr., of Sidney, Ohio. Mrs. C. Dwight Oltman, vocalist, was accompanied by Vance Yoder at the organ. The bridegroom sang “The Wedding Prayer” following the exchange of rings. Escorted by Brother Hie bride, escorted by her brother, Carson Lantis, chose a gown of white crepe and Rachelle lace which featured an empire bodice of lace with square neckline and elbow-length sleeves. The floor-length skirt was of crepe. Her watteau chapel-length train was of lace with crepe edging. A single red rose nestled in stephanotis and streamers topped the white Bible she carried. Her illusion veil was held by a pearl encrusted crown. Serving as matron of honor was Mrs. John Wolf, a cousin. Bridesmaids were her sister, Mrs. Don (Esther) Crabill, and the bridegroom’s sister, Miss Pat Kaylor.

Mrs. Norman Hunsberger of Milford entertained the Sisterhood of the Brethren church at a party in her home Monday afternoon. Mrs. Norman Hunsberger entertained her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Esta Yocum, at dinner in North Webster Sunday in honor of thenwedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell L’Esperance of Chicago are spending a fewdays of their vacation with Mr. and Mrs. Esta Yocum. Howard Immel and Norman Hunsberger are spending this week at the Brigade Training camp at Straits Lake, Mich. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Smith entertained at a birthday supper Saturday evening in honor of the fifth birthday of their daughter, Staci, and of the 12th birthday of Jane Finton. Other guests were, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Finton and Mr. and Mrs. Russel Ruple and Mrs. Lula Ruple attended the Estep reunion at the Warsaw city park Sunday. A good crowd was in attendance among them being Mr. and Mrs. Carl Estep of Stockton, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Lester R. Lung, formerly of Goshen where Mr. Lung is on the police force, have moved into their newly built home on north Shore drive, Syracuse. Mrs. Claude Coppock of Wakarusa called on Mrs. Estella Swartz Tuesday, in the home of Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Betes, Lake Wawasee. Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Burns of Gary were at Lake Wawasee over the week end returning to their home Monday afternoon. Mrs. Carson Lantis served as the bridal assistant. The ladies wore street-length dresses of mint green linen, designed with sleevelace bodices. White lace back-buttoned jackets topped the frocks. They wore matching circle hats with white flower appliques and carried baskets of white gladioli and greenery. Mrs. Lantis wore a corsage of white gladioli. John Kaylor served as his brother’s best man. Ushers w ere Phil Kessler, Keith Coy, Don Crabill, and Phil Berkey. Reception - Residence A reception followed in the church’s fellowship hall. After a wedding trip through the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, the couple will be at home at 411 south Williams street, Bluffton. Both the bride and bridegroom are 1966 graduates of Manchester college. The bride is a graduate of Goshen high school and the bridegroom is a Sidney high school graduate. She will teach the fourth grade at Bluffton and he will teach mathematics. z

Kuhn-Kline Wedding Rites Held Saturday Miss Jeannie L. Kuhn and David L. Kline were married Saturday, July 16, at 4:30 p.m. on the lawn at the home of his mother, Mrs. Clyde Johnson, at 213 west Brooklyn street, Syracuse. Rev. Fred Halsey, pastor of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ at Albion, performed the double ring ceremony in the presence of the immediate families. The bride is the daughter of Richard Kuhn of Pierceton. Mr. Kline's parents are Mrs. Clyde Johnson and Royal Kline of South Bend. The bride appeared in a gown of white nylon and lace. Mrs. Carol Schoaf of Goshen was her sister-in-law’s attendant. Clyde Johnson was best man. Following the ceremony a reception was held on the lawn. Mrs. Johnson and her daughter, Mrs. Ruth Ann Walker, served. The bride is a graduate of Morton Memorial high school at Knightstown. Mr. Kline was graduated from Syracuse high school and is in the U. S. army stationed at Fort Knox, Ky.
