News A N D Views SYRACUSE SUMMARY ■■■ • ■ I I By Julie Connolly I think it has finally happened. • the Christmas spirit has at last hit Syracuse high school. Everyone is in the typical Christmas mood and the students just sit daydreaming and waiting for the last bell of the year to ring. At the ball game Friday night. Mary Kay Bushong was crowned the - queen by our last queen in i 960. Sherry Searfoss. Miss Searfoss's escort was Mr. Fawley, who it seems graduated from Manchester high school, whom we played that night. Too bad they- had to beat us, Mr. Fawley ... J hope you live it dow-n. . . The Homecoming dance Saturday night was really something to see. Mary Kay Bushong. the quet'd, and her escort, Dave Ridings. looked as though they were having a great time. In fact, all the couples did. Most of the girls had eorsiiges ranging in every s’ze. color, and description Mr. and Mrs. Talmadge had quite a good time. They were dancing up a storm and I must say they looked real good. I only hope that next year Mary Kay will return to Syracuse and we have a queen for 1966-1967. -SHSThe SyTacuse high school news staff would like to wish a very Merry- Christmas and a Happy New A’ear to everyone!
BY FAULA PANNES For some time now, the vogue has been a natural look and now “au naturelie” is taking a new twist. Whereas two years ago pale, un-made-up makeup was the look, and last year we were all swinging to swinging hair, the natural look today is focusing on “little-nothing” clothing. '■ ’ ’ This latest switch has come about because of the increased emphasis on physical activity and exercise, plus the fact that there is more and more leisure time foi- everybody. So — obviously K fashion designers are “doing what comes naturally". As a result, we women are find- ... | ijli ing a whole new- - ~ > U r approach to clothing, the | keynote of ■. which is comfort. Thus, we J- ■ “* have the near-nothing lounge suit, leisurely, languid hostess pajamas and skirts, plus a host of stretch garments that “move” comfortably with the wearer. Today's fashion-conscious woman is taking comfort in her underfashions, too. Now she’s wearing the* Take-It-Easy leisure bra for relaxing and lounging at home, and for . sleeping, too! Lovable has deA z'V V signed it speNagej \ ciall v for new, natural at-home fgeSions. It supplies just enough support with real “nothing orf* comfort. Fashioned in nylon stretch lace, every part of Lovable’s leisure bra stretches with you, even the wide, comfortable straps. It’s so female, too! J
