F. H. Cremean. A meeting was held last Wednesday evening in the Guy school house at which time the matter of consolidated schools was discussed. Children gathered dandelions last [Sunday while on their way to Sunday school. This-is a remarkable record for this time of the year. J. W.. Rothenberger has just received the first shipment of Rainbow Sacred records made at Winona .Lake this year by the Rodeheavers [and Billy Sunday evangelistic party. Rothenberger is exclusive agent for ! the records. Earl Wright Makes Ladies Look Corny • • • and Love It gh x HI Ry of r iHEy Two years ago Earl Wrifsht was the owner of a lawn mower factory trying to sell his own design for a dust collecting machine to a grinding mill. He did not make that sale. Instead ° he discovered the newest face powder in over 2,000 years. Noticing that workmen, covered in the silky dust of groundup corn cobs, had “complexions that would put a Hollywood starlet to shame” he collected samples of the dust and asked his wife and her friends to test I it as a face powder. ■ In seeking a patent he disI covered that Dr. Cleveland 1 White, of the Stritch School of Medicine of Loyola University (Chicago) had long used corncob powder as a skih medication. Its high rate of absorbency takes up moisture so completely that micro-organisms are deprived of the media they need to grow. After two years of testing, Mr. Wright has sold both his dust collecting device and his corn cob powaer. Shulton, Inc. - "vrill market the powder nationally under the' rame of “Corn Silk”. He says it is absolutely free of artificial color and is therefore suitable for all comi plexions. He does claim that its ( nigh absorbency makes it more effective than other powders in soaking up skin oils and keeping the shine off the face. So it appears that many 1 years later, that grinding mill will be using his device to collect corn cob dust.. . for fac* powder.
