Eight-Square Club Meets Members of the Eight-Square Home Demonstration dub met in the home of Mrs. Wallace Huffman for their November meeting. Mrs. Martin Stookev was co-hostess. For meditations Mrs. Fred Stookey chose two topics “The Good Steward” and "The Grace of Gratefulness”. Mr. Kurasky of the Four County Mental Health clinic talked on "How to Control Nerves". A donation of $lO was given by the dub to the clinic. The Christmas Workshop lesson was presented by Mrs. Dan Knepper. Roll call was answered by using the three mitials of ( thelK names in telling of a Thanksgivihg blessing. Plans were made for tlieir Christmas party and a box was filled for Christmas gifts to be given to the Mental Health patients. Mrs. Wallace Huffman reviewed the song of the month "Now Thank We All Our God” and led the group in singing the same. It was reported the eld) was an honor club for the year. A gift of an electric dock was presented to Mrs. James Hite for her new home. Refreshments were served by the hostesses. •* GUESTS AT LYONS HOME On Thanksgiving Mr. and Mrs Forrest Lyons entertained at a turkey dinner and family get-toget-er in honor of Lt. William Lyons, who left Tuesday for Thailand. He will be stationed there for a 131 month tour of duty. Guests were Miss Marie Lippin-| cott of Fort Wayne. Mr. and Mrs Noel Rhinehart and Jack. Mr. and Mrs John Dye, Mrs. William Lippincott, Charles Lyons and the guest of honor. Lt. Party After Ballgame Following the Millersburg - Leesburg ball game Wednesday night Miss Janet Anglin was hostess to a group of former classmates at her home. Holiday Flower Show At Goshen December 4-5 Deep in the heart of winter ' When the snow is beginning to fan, Comes tiie glamour of Holiday festivities That beckon to one and all. Mrs. Kenneth Bryant is the author of this verse that heads the artistic division of the holiday flower show, "There's A Song In The Air”. It is being sponsored by the .Mr. and Mrs, Garden club and garden department of the Goshen , Woman’s dub. The show will be held on Saturday and Sunday. Dec. 4 and 5 in the Goshen college union building. It will feature front door hangings, I wreaths and trees of fresh evergreens, cones and nuts, baskets for the floor and stars. : Candles, evergreens and bells win have interesting designs as well as topiary trees, sleighs, decorated i logs, and the traditional "Under the j Mistletoe” kissing ball. A division for men only includes I an arrangement of evergreens and cones as well as “Let Me Call < You Sweetheart". j Mrs. Bryant's verse also heads . the junior division. Children dream this time of year Os things they like to get; I But they also like to share. Which we agree is bettar yet This division features Twelfth | Night of Christmas, Rudolph the! Red Nose Reindeer. The Toy Parade. and Christmas tree ornaments. Shadow boxes depicting Silent Night will be exhibited by city . churches. Screens duplicating a “Noel” ■ Christmas card will be shown by ’ boring garden clubs. I Floor pedestals featuring the' "Thanksgiving Song” will be the contributions from the neighboring towns. Table settings using “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” and an informal buffet, "Praise For Bread”, will also be shown by different ori ganizations.
