LEESBURG WMC MEETS WITH MRS. IMMEL Mrs. Howard Immel was the ' 1 November hostess for the Leesburg j! WMC. Fourteen ladies were in attendance. 1 Mrs. Edith Young presented the Bible study from I Timothy 3. Mrs: Lester Vandermark gave the missionary experiences on ’’Witnessing to our Neighbors.” The prayer chairman. Arneal Gunter. . admonished the ladies to adopt a foreign missionary family and urged them to write that family and learn of its most difficult needs then pray, expecting the Lord j to do great things, i They replaced their autumn leaf I with a cornucopia containing the 'memorization goal for the year, j Three ladies have already memorized II Timothy 2:15-26. Mrs. Louis Engle conducted the I business session when it was deeidied to have two work days at the church in November. The ladies will complete the crib quilts for the Navajo station so they will arrive in time for Christinas. The meeting was closed with prayer after which the hostess served pumpkin pie and cider. —LMYF Meets In Special Meetings A total of four sessions of weekly meetings are being held on Sunday evenings with Rev. Gosser. leader, by the M.Y.F. group. Rev Gosser is discussing boy and girl relationships. •' A discussion was held on the tray- being sold by the group. These are round serving trays with different designs on each one. Cookies furnished by Mrs. Gosser were served to the 12 members present, . ■ ■ , - j -I r Women’s Miss onary Fellowship Meets Members, of the Women's Missionary Fellowship of the Calvary Baptist church met in the home of Mrs. .Ronald Taylor for their November meeting. Mrs. Ann Popenfoose read a poem fop devotions and the lesson was given by Mrs. Ed Blue on How to Guide and Train Your Children". The remainder of the evening was . spent in rolling bandages and in making aprons to be used in a Bible I school in Germany. The bandages will be sent to a hospital in Africa. Gifts for the state hospitals for I Christmas must be wrapped b> November 21. , Refreshments were served by the hostess. Mrs. Roger McConnell Was a Wednesday afternoon caller at the Eld Bucher home at Beaver Dam. -Mr. and Mrs. Glen Hollar of Granger and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Heaton spent the week end with Mr. and Mi's. Jim Kizer and children at Greenwood. While there Mr. Heaton became ill and was admitted to the hospital. Mrs. Heaton has returned to her home.
