Miss Darlene Miller Weds Daniel Ague Tht wedding of Miss Darlene Miller of Goshen and Daniel Ague of Syracuse occurred Saturday in the home of Turkey Creek township justice of the peace, Christian Kober. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. John Balyeat of 521 Dewey Ave.. Goshen. and Mr. Ague is the son of F. E. Ague of Tice, Fla. The bride appeared in a light blue street length with Nack accessories. She wore a light blue net hat, matching her gown. Mrs. Elwood Foster of Syracuse was her at- . tendant. She wore a lavender silk print dress. Eli Mast of Syracuse was best man. Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Provost, who have spent the past ten-days with the latter's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Pfingst of Syracuse, returned to their home in Morrisville, Pa., on Monday. Mrs. Lois Schleeter and Miss’ leila Connolly hare returned to their homes in Syracuse from a twoweeks vacation spent in touring northern Michigan, Canada. Maine. T'ew Hampshire. Vermont, and Nigara Falls. N. Y. Mrs. Schleeter is assistant cashier at the State Bank of Syracuse and Miss Connolly is employed at NIPSCO. Newcomers Club Meets In The Civic Room At Bank The Syracuse Newcomers club met Wednesday evening in the Civic Room at the State Bank of Syracuse with Mrs. John Ringer and Miss Sharon Hoke as the hostesses. Present were 11 members and four guests, Mrs. C. Lester Platt, Mrs. Paul. Markley Jr., Mrs. Bill S. Betes and. Mrs. William Pipp, who are all past members. It was a Halloween party with all decorations and refreshments in the Halloween theme. Mrs. Philip Kitson. president presided at the business session and appointed a committee for preparing Christmas boxes for the needy as follows: Mrs. Al Bauer, Mrs. Jean Rogers, and Mrs. Donna Hostetler. A white elephant sale was held with proceeds going to the retarded children’s fund, to be given through the United Fund. Door prizes were won by Mrs. Rogers ! and Mrs. Dale Plumber. The next meeting will be a dinner I party at Foo nnd Faye's restaurant November 17 with Mrs. Rogers and Mrs. Merrill Norris in charge of i arrangements. Carina Byrer And Doral Haab Repeat Nuptial Vows Recently
Miss Carma J&in Byrer and Doral Eugene Haab recently repeated nuptial vows in an impressive double ring ceremony in the Bethel Church of the Brethren at Milford. Miss Byrer is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Byrer of Etna Green, and Mrs. Esther Haab of Milfoi'd is the mother of the bridegroom. The ceremony, before an altar graced with gladioli and mums and white candelbras, was performed by the Rev. Robert Perkins in the presence of 10Q guests. Traditional wedding selections were played by organist Mrs. Raymond Hoover of Milford. Given in. Marriage The bride, given in marriage by her father, was radiant in a floor length gown of white nylon over acetate taffeta. The gown featured a scoop neckline and was accented with sheer sleeves which ended at the wrist. The V-cut back was i caught with nylon cabbage roses. Her elbow length veil fell from a tiara of dainty seed pearls and crystal drops. She carried a bouquet of white and pink carnations with a white orchid in the center. Mrs. Linda Hohniau of Nappanee served the bride as matron of honor. She wore an afternoon frock of ; pink lace and shantung with a scoop neckline. She carried a cascade of pink carnations. Shelly Wartlow of Goshen served as flower girl. She was dressed in e-white lace dress, and dropped pink rose petals along the white carpeted aisle. • Robert J. Mrs. Haab cliose a medium blue jersey dress with beige accessories. Both wore white orchid corsages. Reception Follows Following the wedding a reception was held in the church social room. Mrs. Cleteus Hartman of Wakarusa. Mrs. Roy Haab of Bluffton and Mrs, Jdsse Haab of Milford presided at the serving table. Miss liens Kammerer of Leesburg registered the guests and Miss Shirley Hartman of Wakarusa, Miss Nettie Haab of Syracuse and Miss Sandy Baney of Warsaw received the gifts. Following a short wedding trip through Indiana, the newlv-wexis are milking- tlieir home in Milford.
