Sorosis Club Has I ‘History Os Mystery’ Lesson For Halloween The Sorosis club at Milford met at the home of Mrs. James Allen on Monday evening. The lesson was on ’’History of Mystery” and was presented by Mrs. Robert Brown. Mrs. Brown chose the lesson in keeping with the Halloween season. She also very capably reviewed the book. “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” by Washington Irving. In the meeting which preceded the lesson 23 members and one guest. Mrs. Richard Neff, answered roll call with Halloween gags. And Mrs. Gable j The members of Zion Chapel,} ’ south of Syracuse, held a reception for their pastor, Rev. Carl Gable | and Mrs. Gable Friday evening in ? Friendship House. The theme for the evening was J “Go Ye Into All the World. ’ ’ Mrs. | ? Eldon Watkins read the scripture, i St. Mark 16th chapter, 14th to the 20th verse., Sherman Deaton lead lin prayer. The children sang “Jesus Loxes All the Little Children of the World.” There was group singing of "Jesus Calls Us.” Rev. Gable gave the table grace when refreshments of coffee, cake, : Halloween candy and nuts xvere served. A pound party was given for Rev. and Mrs. Gable, who op-® ened the gifts that were on a table. ■Hie closing hymn was “Blest Be the Tie that ‘Binds.” Mrs. Ray? Cripe gave the closing prayer.
