Election Os Officers At Eight Square Club Meeting Mrs. Ellis Wildman, assisted by Mrs. Fred Stookey,' was hostess to the Eight Square Home Demonstration club at her home Tuesday evenSept. 21. Members answered roll call by telling “Why I joined the home economics club.” For meditations Mrs. Rex Sausaman used the subject, j“I Am A Hoosier.” “Gun Safety” was the topic discussed by Mrs. Martin Stockey for the health and safety report and a round table discussion was fold on “Gladioli” for the garden lesson. The song of the month, “Jacob’s ladder,” was reviewed by Mrs. John Buhrt and she led the group in singing the same. Mrs. Robert Lozier presented the lesson on “Mrs. Consumer Shops -for Ftod.” Election During the business meeting an election of officers was held with Mrs. Fred Kuhn being elected president: Mrs. Charles Osborn, vice-president; Mrs. Bill W’ildman, j secretary : and Mrs. Robert Lozier, treasurer. Reports were gi\w on the county council meeting, the fair, the national conference held at. Purdue and members were reminded of the achievement day and the Christmas workshop to be held in the near future. A card of thanks was read from Mrs. Ruth McCleary, former county home demonstration agent, and the club trip was planned. The dub will see “Holiday On Ice” at Fort Wayne in November. A new member Mrs. Beatrice Shank was ’A'elcomed into the club. Refreshments of pie, coffee and tea were served. She resides alone in Oswego during the summer months. She was taken to a hospital in Indianapolis where she underwent surgery Tuesday. Va., September 17. the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Columbia Martin of Warsaw and Mr. and Mrs. Harold McKibben are the parents of the bridegroom. The bride was attired in a blue street length wool dress and wore black accessories. Plans were discussed for the president-seertx tary conference to be held this weekend in the War Memorial building at Indianapolis. Mrs. Morris Huffman, Mrs. Kenneth Hartman, Mrs. Millard Wallace and Mrs. TeJma Me Corkle will attend the meeting. A goal of 50 members was set for 1966 and 39 have signed at the present time. A note was received from a boy adopted by the auxiliary from the Knightstown home thankinn them for his birthday gifts. Mandatory fees were allowed and poppies were ordered for Memorial Dav. Mrs. Millard Wallace and Mrs. Howard Smith Jr. served refreshments to the 13 members present. The next meeting will be at the town hall.
