As appropriate brutal seksctionk were ! played by the organist, Mrs. * James Stephens of Ligonier. The guests were seated by Tom Pricket t of Syracuse, and Gad Stoltz of l Chicago, cousin of the bride.
“Dearly Beloved" and “I, Do” were sung preceding the ceremony and “The Wedding Prayer" and “One Hand. One Heart” were sung during the ceremony by Mrs. Wayne Werker of Albion, sister of the bride. Organza Over Taffeta The bride was given in marriage by her father. Her floor length gown of silk organza over taffeta featured an Empire bodice of Alencco lace with a modified scoop neckline and sleeves which ended at the elbow. The A-line skirt was highlighted by a removable chapel length train. Her pillbox erf matching lace held a bouffant veil of imported silk illusion. She carried a long stemmed white rose. Floor-length gowns of pink crepe were worn by the bride’s attendants. The gowns were styled with a scoop neckline and short sleeves with the Empire waistline featuring a hand of matching satin, ending in the back with a self bow and 'streamers. They wore matching i petal headpieces with bouffant veils ;and each carried a long stemmed pink rose f Serving as attendants were Mrs. Stephen Meek of Tantna. man. Groomsmen were Nelson Kistler and Tom Prickett, Syracuse, and Gail Stoltz, Chicago, cousin of the bride. The bride’s mother wore a shell pink crepe dress with white accessories and Mrs. Hibschman wore a candlelight beige suit with matching accessories. Both wore corsages of pink roses. Mrs. Donald Sheline of Syracuse, sister of the bride, presided at the guest book aid was hostess at the reception which followed in the fellowship hall. The reception table was centered with a tiered wedding I cake. Serving were Miss Anita Yoder of Osceola, Mrs. Ronald Roberts of Syracuse, Miss Linda Yoder of Detroit, and Miss Joyce Doubleday of Wabash. Assisting at the gift table were Miss Virginia Hull of Ligonier. Mrs. Gary Bradway of Fort Wayne, and Miss Carlene Cripe of Claypool. To Niagara Falls Upon their return from a wedding trip to Niagara Falls the couple will reside at 407 south Harrison street, Syracuse. Mrs. Hibschman is a graduate erf Millersburg school and Manchester college. She will teach in the Lakeland community School Corporation this coming school year. Mr, Hibschman is a graduate of Syracuse high school and is a car I salesman at McCormick-Cutter, Inc., Syracuse.
FRESH FACE FOR THE FAIRGROUNDS According to Jesse Stuckey, superintendent of buildings and grounds, j “the entire fairgrounds is assuming a ‘fresh look’ for the one-million visjitors expected at the 1965 Indiana state fair." Carpenters, plumbers, and eleci trieians are busily at work in renovating and preparing fair buildings for the 1965 Indiana state fair, August 28 through September 7. New restroom facilities have been added to the women’s buildup, the grandstand is being painted, and a 'new phone system has been instated. The state fair has also acquired land for additional parking facilities. A new floor has also been added to the manufacturer’s ingThe board accepted his resignation with regret and instructed the superintendent to publicize the vacancy and to proceed immediately to screen applicants for the position.

METHODIST YOUTH ATTEND INSTITUTE Seveal teachers from Lakeland ! schools attended the Annual Leadership Conference of the state teachers association on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday of last week at French Lick. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Larry Haney. Mr. Haney teaches in Goshen and Mrs. Haney is a first grade teacher at Milford; Mr. and Mrs. Gale Metzger. Mr. Metzger teaches Latin at North Webster and Syracuse; Mrs. DeLoss Weaver, second grade teacher at Syracuse; Mrs. Richard Ditmar, Syracuse elementary music teacher; and superintendent and Mrs. Lewis S. She is the'T daughter of Willy Kaurow of Berlin and is a 1966 graduate of a Berlin high school. -Mr. Troup is ,a graduate of Milford high school with the class of 1956 and is employed by the Northern Indiana Brass Company Foundry at Elkhart. He met his bride while serving with the U. S. Army. It was suggested in the board meeting that qualified applicants call the superintendent’s office collect at Nappanee 773-3131 to make inquiries about the position since the board would like to employ a successor as quickly as possible.
