Plans were disclosed at Tuesday night’s meeting of the Syracuse town board for replacement of the present Boston street bridge over the Skinner ditch by the town of Syracuse and the Kosciusko ' county highwav department. * Cpt. TWENTY YEARS AGO The OPA Wednesday announced that no more coupons will be needed to buy gasoline—all you need now isthe money. Rationing was also lifted on fuel oil and various canned goods. Mrs. Emma Rowe Eash of Elkhart is visiting for a few weeks with Mrs. Mary Cable and Mrs. Estella Swartz. A red sunflower,' probably the first ever to be grown lpcally, is now in bloom at the E. E. Miner home. The seed was brought here from California. Mrs. Jessie L. Blocker of Marion is visiting here in the home of her son. Noble Blocker, and family. Wanted - In Syracuse and Wawasee Lakes, a salvage diver. FORTY-FIVE YEARS AGO Frank Maloy and son Gene were in Churubusco last Wednesday. The managers and yardmen of the Isabell chain of lumber yards held their annual convention and picnic in Syracuse Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. P. R. Sprague were hosts to the men for two days. Lewis A. Neff is visiting his daughter in Denver, Colo. The Oakland Theater, popular moving picture house in Syracuse, has changed hands being transferred from Mrs. Irene Barkley to Mrs. John Byland.
