WHEN IT HAPPENED IN SYRACUSE , ONE YEAR AGO It was announced at the Monday evening meeting of the Syracuse fair association that 109 units have entered the big parade which is to be held on Saturday night of fair week. Mrs. Bobby j. Bailey has joined her husband, Pfc. Bailey, in Germany. She flew by jet from Chicago to Frankfurt. . . Robert Niles, 14-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Niles, arrived home Friday from the National Boy Scout Jamboree at Valley Forge, Pa. Mr. and Mrs. Tim Darr and daughters spent last week end in Chicago where they attended the 17th annual reunion of the Spearhead Division of the;3d Armoited Division of the U. S. .Army in the Sherman hotel. ' The impasse that left a vacancy on the Syracuse town board remains unsolved as of today. Walter Calnon was appointed to the post of clerk-treasurer left vacant when Mrs. Lois Schleeter resigned. Now the post of board member needs filling.
