OSWEGO SCHOOL REUNION SUNDAY Former teachers and pupils of Oswego school and guests met Sunday at the Oswego Community Center lor a potluck, dinner. Norman Beagle, who had completed two years of high school at Oswego in 18%. Was the oldest former student present. Mrs. Everett Wenger was the youngest former student present Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Beagle, now teaciiing in southern California, came the farthest to attend. Both gave short talks. A number of other people told of amusing incidents and interesting facts about their school life at Oswego. During the business session Ray Ferierda was elected president. Ky., where Mr. Pearl will be manager of the new Sears store there, The dinner was given by the Sears store employees at Warsaw when? Mr Pearl has been manager for several years.' A hillbilly band comprised of Mrs. Morris Huffman. Mrs. Peggy Baumgartner, Richard Green, and Neil Bennett presented a skit. Mrs Gary' Mohler, the devotional leader, gave the Bible study. “A
Better Walk.” • Mrs. Dale Millington gave the missionary topic and Mrs. Ken Bixler sang a solo, “A Closer Walk With i Thee.” The hostess served ice cream sodas and crackers. Lr— Farmers Union Meet* Tuesday Night Members of the Farmers Union met Tuesday night in the social rooms of the First National Bank at Warsaw. Plans were made for the district picnic to be held August 22 at the Silver Lake club house. TTie district is comprised, of Elkhart, Whitley, and Kosciusko counties. —h— New Officers Installed At Auxiliary Tuesday Installation services for new officers of the American Legion Auxiliary were held Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. Chris Kammerer,

Following the dinner the group went to a demonstration on home decorating given by the.interior decorators at Lake Wawasee. Color schemes and fabrics for the different t rooms were stressed. [ The business meeting was held in ; the home of Mrs. Raymond Hart- > man. Plans were completed for the ! club’s display at the county fair. » . -I^-Eight-Square Club Meets At Hite Home Tuesday Mrs. James Hite was hostess to the Eight-Square home demonstration club at her home Tuesday even- , ing for the July meeting. Roll cdll was answered by giving “Harvest " |Memories:” s i Meditations were given by Mrs. ’ James Hite and the health and safer ty report on "Poison House Plants” was given by Mrs. Martin Stookey. The song of the month, "Stars and Stripes Forever,” was reviewed by Mrs. John Buhrt after which the ’group joined with her in singing the song and also “America, the Beautiful.” Mrs. Fred Kuhn presented the j lesson on “Making Hats Out of Pipe iGedners.” j During the business session it was reported that eight members will serve as hostesses at the Kosciusko i county fair. A report was given on Achievement Day and a discussion | was held on the Citizens Seminar to Ibe held at Washington, D. C. Since ! volunteer service is needed at the ; Murphy Medical Center members were asked to donate at least two hours a month and more if possible. Plans were made for the club trip to !the ice follies in October. Two guests. Mrs. John Stookey of Goshen and Mrs. Beatrice Shank of Warsaw', were present. Refreshments of coffee, tea, and cake were served. -L— Wesleyan Methodist Church Class Has Cook-Out Friday The teenage class of tlie Wesleyan Methodist church at Warsaw enjoyed a cook-out at the Rome of their ; teacher, Harold Irvine, Friday evening. An initiation party was held for the new members. —L—VISIT PARENTS Mr, and Mrs. Jim Foltz of Chicago spent the week end at the jhome of Mr. and Mrs. Esta Yocum. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Yocum, Toni and Todd, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Hunsberger, and Nick Charles were also dinner guests. Mr. and Mrs. Elz*i Ball of Clavpool were afternooncallers. —L—; BOARD MEETING AT CHURCH -1 The executive board of the WSCS of the Methodist ch.urch met at the church Monday evening. The progranflor the coming year was planned and plans were made for the observance of the 25th anniversary of the organization to be held in September. There were 10 pre^nt. —L—PICNIC SUPPER AT CHURCH ,Members of the WSCS and the anna and Lydia circles met together Wednesday evening at the Methodist church for a potluck supper. | Mrs. Roose of Goshen showed slides and talked of.her trip to the Holy Lands.
