Syracuse Town Board Buys 2-Way Radio For Police

Syracuse town board members i approved the purchase of a two i way radio for the Syracuse police t department at a meeting held Tues- < day to the town hall. The radio to be purchased is a I rebuilt one and will' be used by s police officers when they are not in < the police car. Theta Chapter. Kappa Sigma Tau Sorority observed its annual Founders’ Day with dinner at Plattner’s Steak House in Garrett Thursday evening, June 10 The 1965-66 officers were installed by Mi's. Brooks Cobbum and a short business meeting was conducted by tto new president, Mrs. Toni Spurgeon. The room was beautifully decorated in the Hawaiian motif and each guest was presented with a Hawaiian lei upon entering tto dining room. As a climax to tto evening, Mrs. John Ulrey showed slides of a recent trip to Hawaii. Door prizes were won by Mrs. John Hagen and Mrs. Elmer Lambright. The committee in charge of the evening Was Mrs. Tom Spurgeon. Mrs John Ulrey and Mrs. Robert Topham. Receptions For MHS Graduates This a continuation of the Milford high school graduates who had receptions following their commencement exercises on June 2. Connie Louise Sawyer A reception honored Connie Sawyer following the commencement exercises. It was held in the home of' Connie’s parents, Mr, and. Mrs. Lawrence Sawyer.
