It has been brought to their atlt tention by those operating the dump , I sites that garbage, dead animals and other unlawful matter has been placed in the dumps, which are j maintained for trash only. | The dumps are used after hours also and debris is placed to far ifrom the dumping banks. In some I cases the fences and gates are destroyed to make entries after hours. 'The hours for county dumps are 9 am. to 6 pm seven days a week , It was further noted that sevseral residents are using the dumps j for target practice and are endangering lives, homes and livestock near these, areas ' Many persons from out of county are using the dumps and will cause them to fill j up to fast. The county maintains six dump sites, the ..Heiman dump, south of Warsaw ' the Hively dump, west of south of Pierceton;, the Likens dump: near North >Vebster: the Seminary dump on Lake Wawasee and the Scott dump, near Dewart lake All six are for use of all Kosi ciusko county residents since they are maintained by the county - w WANT ADS

Miss Karen Yoder, president, ’presided at. the business meeting and Sandra Hae welcomed the guests. Members then conducted a candlelight prayer, service. Timo korhonen. exchange student from Finland, gave an illustrated talk on his country, followed by a question and answer period. Miss Karen Franks, district president of FHA. and her mother of Wawaka were guests of the. group. HIGH SCHOOL ART EXHIBIT HELD The Ligonier high school art ex- ' hibit, sponsored by the P.T.A. was held in conjuctiOn with their meeting •last Monday evening at the high school building. Cheri Good was winner bf the purple ribbon. Blue ribbons in the oil painting group went to Cherie Gtxxi. Larry Fox. Sandy DiGangi. and Gary Smith, Red ribbons were awarded to Tom Long, Larry Fox and Sandy DiGangi. White ribbons went to Ronnie Kelly. Steve Kelly. Sandy DiGangi and Tim Long: with honorable mention going to Gaiy Anderson and Sandy DiGangi. Other prizes were awarded for leather-tooling, palette knife painting and still life. Murphy, 59, of r 1 Kimmell died at 4 a.m. ..Wednesday in tiie Goshen hospital where she had been . a patient for 36 hours. Death was due to cancer. Mrs. Murfiiiy was born November 1, 1905, in Noble county. She had her entire life in the .Kinunel community. Survivors include her. husband, Floyd; four sons. George of Kimmell. Leßoy of Ligonier, Esteil of Churubusco and Eugene at home: two daughters. Mrs. Laurel Leiteli of Avilla and Lmda at home; ten grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Carl Murphy of Kimmell. She had re* sided all of her life in the Lagomeri community. Her husband. Honor Gold Star Mothers At Auxiliary The regular meeting of Ancil Geiger Unit 226 American Legion Auxiliary at Milford was held at the Milford fire station on Tuesday evening. The business meeting was conducted by the president. Mr£ Wade Mishler, with 35 members and one guest, Mrs. . Gordon Rhodes, present.
